no glass tops here. I initially went topless, but got tired of losing fish due to suicide. I made a very low profile top using L trim and bird netting. If you would like to see it I would be happy to upload some pics.

I did the same thing. Seems to work pretty well, but I did it when I first got the tank so I am not sure if it did any good or not. Another thing I did was make a small stand to place under the stock skimmer to raise it out of the water a little more. It has seemed to make a big difference in the quality of the skimmate. Lastly, I removed my K2, K1, and K nano, and replaced them with a Vortech MP20. Since changing I have noticed a huge difference in my coral and fish activities.

Just a thought, but you might consider putting tile down underneath the aquarium. This way in the future you won't have these problems.

I might, but I am still trying to figure out why SPS is not doing so well in my tank. If it is still around after I figure it out then I will be happy to trade.

Yeah you need to wait until your tank finishes cycling before adding any shrimp.

I have a Koralia Nano and a K1 that I no longer need. These have been used for about 6 months. I would like $20 a piece.

If the lemon juice doesn't work I would recommend mixing kalkwasser with boiling water and then use a needle and a syringe and directly inject the little booger. Then get a few pep' shrimp to keep them gone, but the only problem with pep' shrimp is that only a small percentage will actually eat aiptasia.

From what I read if you don't have the membrane and the flow restrictor that match outputs then it can either cause excessive waste to the drain or premature membrane fouling

you can order the different flow restrictors from buckeye field supply and just place it in your drain line. I have always been under the impression that you had to have some sort of flow restrictor. Would it be possible that there is a built in flow restrictor somewhere on the drain side of the unit?

I believe so, but you need to change the flow restrictor to a 50 GPD

I am thinking about a Rimless 36x24x24 with one center overflow. I think it would come around 95G.

yep..sure did. It looks really nice, but again is still to long for the spot I want to set it. I am checking into getting one custom so that I can get exactly what I want.

thanks, but I am looking for a tank at least 70G. I gotta get some more room in my tank for coral. I am running out of precious real estate.
