  1. Unfortunately I won't be; I have to work. I plan on fragging it this Sunday. So far four are spoken for, but I should have quite a few more than that.
  2. Well I finally went up to mikedelgado's house and got him to help me out cutting this thing up. Each frag is around 3x3. I have seven frags available. Looking to get around $20/frag. Let me know if your interested. The first picture is under MH, and the last two pictures are actinics.
  3. Blue/green mushroom, one frag of the hot tamale zoas pending, two frags of target practice, and one unknown green paly all pending.
  4. Due to my the size of my tank and the growth of coral it is time I moved a few things out. 1. Small rock with 3 medium sized heads and 2 small heads of neon green ricordea - $30 SOLD 2. Small tonga branch with approx. 25 polyps of Peaches and Cream Palys, pictures don't do it them any justice- $10 3. 5 - 10 Polyps of Target practice Zoas, per request only, several frags available - $10 SOLD 4. 5 - 10 Polyps of large unknown green palys, per request only, several frags available - $10 One Sold, One still available 5. One small blue green mushroom, approx. the size of a quarter. - $5 SOLD 6. Two polyp frags of Hot Tamale zoas, per request only, two available. - $15 . SOLD
  5. I have run the 14K phoenix bulbs over my solana in both 150W and 250W. I love the color and with my 250 I get reasonable coral growth underneath. My only complaint with the 150W was that it just didn't have enough output to adequately light the tank, and it was obvious in the almost no coral growth that I had in the 6 months that I had it. I would recommend the phoenix, but only in the 250W.
  6. I also am interested in splitting the acans with ya'. Let me know if your still interested
  7. Thanks for the bump.....pending sale off of craigslist.
  8. I guess I better list a price. Looking for $1000

  10. Looks great, but one concern is......Won't anthias well outgrow a solana?
  11. I am currently running a 250 MH 14k phoenix with 2x65 PC actinics over my solana. I have a clip on fan to regulate the temp. Even during the summer my tank never got above 79. I run my MH 8 hours and my PC 12 hours a day. I have run both a 150 and a 250 over this tank. The 150 IMO just didn't seem to put out enough light to truly light up my tank the way I want. All coral growth has been excellent since switching back to the 250. You are welcome to come by and check out my setup if you want an example.
  12. I have a coralife aqualight pro that is approx 8 months old. The past few days my compact flourescents have started to flicker. The bulbs are brand new. Anyone have any ideasof whatmight be wrong?
  13. hmm...I may have to take you up on that. Thanks for the offer.
  14. Argh....Why do these always end when I am out of town?? One of these days I will be able to take advantage of this.
  15. The new skimmer arrived today, and I must say it feels like it is very well built. It has been installed for about an hour and has already started producing a very light green skimmate. The only complaint I have so far is that it sticks up about 6" inches above the top of the tank. I will keep updating this as the skimmer breaks in.
  16. I'm jealous. Sounds like a fun new toy.
  17. The mesh wheel was my only concern, but they have replaced it with a diamond mesh that supposedly will last much longer. As far as the noise goes every review I have read says they are near silent. I am looking forward to this. It is slated to arrive on 2/2 so I should have it running that night.
  18. I'm interested in the tank if you part out.
  19. hmm....I hadn't ever heard of people having a hard time keeping it tuned. Does the water level stay constant in the back of their solana? I know the divider keeps it at a minimum level, but do they ever run the level higher than the divider?

Sorry for the bad luck, if you do still end up selling I will go in on part of the dendros if someone wants to split it.
  21. Well I took the plunge and ordered a new ER nano skimmer to replace the stock skimmer on my Solana. They are definitely proud of these things too, $190 shipped which is quite a bit higher than I wanted to spend. I initially wanted to purchase the sapphire aquatics, but after reading recent reviews on nano reef it sounds like SA might be having some troubles. So I decided to go with the well established company. I will definite update this as soon as it comes in.
  22. I'm not gonna lie the stand was recommended to me by the guys at Aquatek. I'm not really sure why it works, but after I put mine on a stand I no longer had any microbubbles and the performance was improved. Wish I could explain it, but I said the same thing when they told me to do it and honestly I don't remember what their reasoning for it was.
