  1. Very strange - My reply musta gone elsewhere. Anyways - any good guesses how big these polyps are? Many on vividaq.. came in at 1/4" or less. Thanks Bill
  2. Ditto to above - I'm hoping these can be picked up 'at work' as well? I bucket please and your paypal address. Thanxx. Bill Brister
  3. I once replied to a free 280, I believe it was. 15 minutes after it was posted at least 3 other people had already replied and someone was on the way over to pick it up. Bill
  4. Mama no offense, but I am pretty sure your prom days have passed you by Bill
  5. Couple of questions please: 1) Brand name (s) 2) I don't know much about t5 retros but I was under the impression typically a ballast would only push certain amount of tube feet. So I am wondering what size tubes (watts and length( these were going to be and if they would support 4 ft x 54 watt. Thanks Bill

    Hammer

Dena - I would really be interested in either a 2 head or 4 head but I am not sure of my schedule tomorrow. About what time do you expect to be at RCA? Thanks Bill
  7. Fixture is 48x6x4 (Wide x deep x tall)
  8. As I sometimes do when I am in the 'eager' days of a new hobby I see what seems to be a good buy and grab it. I bought this Marineland T5 HO 216 Watt used strip and then made the sad realization that it will probably be some time to come before I have another tank to put these over. I do not have 4 bulbs our it. I bought 2 to make sure 4 slots all work. So for $100 you can have the strip and 2 Glo bulbs (14k and act blue) which are brand new or take $40 off and get the strip for $60 (and I'll return the bulbs). It is a 4 bulb strip. It has two fans built in, which are definitely not whisper quiet. There is just one cord but the switch will turn on one set of 2 the other set of two or both sets. This is what they are www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/235430/product.web?gdftrk=xh23lc0p/7HDy~g3JgKLc3rITJLUeC0tAEMq9NSBK0rZI1bU9YsV7iEqFgqaymSE9RLUs8aVDyvTAGE//eYRRnMqFbQez8xKegsDt9XiwV2zZoqPwFhCFl0Sb8z8C~kh2XEUM6BfGAUyShoR9vsm/A__ Bill
  9. I was by there this morning and he had very few of the trio left - none of one - so I imagine there may not be a lot of additional calls. He lives in RR on the west side of 35.
  10. Actually coming from the north if you get off of 183 at the North Lamar exit, it is going to be VERY difficult to make your way over to turn right in time to turn right, during 5:00 traffic. I believe you need to get off at the exit after the Burnet Rd exit. Actually I am going to be there at 5. If anyone wants me to pick up their stuff and bring it back to the LCP area I would be happy too. I do not pay for the tollway so I will be driving home, in Leander, right past Innate One for instance. Bill - 784-4475
  11. Robb I think you have talked yourself out of a beer. I don't drink and it looks like your definition of a 'good beer' is pretty much 'if you can buy it as a single, it's not a 'good beer' How about Root Beer? Bill
  12. What is a Penguin 800? I was only aware that the HOB Bio Wheel Penguins go up to 350. Thanks Bill

    Pom Pom Xenia

Dena I would be interested in perhaps 3 of those pom poms, if you have that many to spare. I could meet you at 11:30 at RCA. Thank you Bill Brister

    Pom Pom Xenia

Dena actually lives closer to you than RCA or the Reefcleaner order.
  15. Thanks - I'll know that for FUTURE use
  16. Hi guys I just submitted a small order for $11.40. I would like to pick it up at azcummings/Mark's house if that option remains open. Thanks Bill Brister - 784-4475
  17. AquaTek had some just yesterday.

    48" T5's to Borrow

I picked up a fixture recently with no bulbs so I don't even know if anything but the fans work. Does anyone have 1 or 2 48" t5's I could borrow for a day or two just to see if all 4 slots work. They could be one's you shoulda thrown away, so long as they burn - naturally color doesn't matter. It would be great if there was someone in the Leander/Cedar Park area Bill
  20. I will ditto what just about everyone else is saying. I think it is an intriguing idea but we just gotta know the rules. My biggest question was always in the terminology. Apparently there is an original donor who gives something to a 'sponsor'. Then there is a list of people who wait for the sponsor to grow it out and pay forward a frag of it to the first person on the list. Who does the same thing. Right so far? Do those the sponsors continue to frag out their gift, or is it one and done, discretionary etc.?? But it also seems there must a some sort of limit to how many frags one person can sponsor initially and possibly how many 'waiting lists' you can be on so that a few people don't dominate the whole system for months. Lastly as I recall there is also a published list so everyone knows what to expect, and what is offered. Is the administrator willing to do that? I also suspect there are a few things I haven't considered. Inquiring minds want to know (and participate) Bill
  21. I am pretty sure the concentrations in SW tanks would be very bad for regular plants. Even much lower medicinal levels in freshwater tanks/ponds will tend to kill your grass for instance. Bill
  22. I have this 4 24 watt 2 LED moons light fixture if anyone wants it. I took it all apart a while ago and cut both of the ballast off. I can't guarantee a few other little things haven't dissapeared since, but I know all the major pieces should be there. The ballast were dead and the bulbs look like they are far from new, but there are 2 white and blue. The reflector looks in very good shape and I just remembered I used the splash guard for something else. Bill
  23. Wooow - I musta been absent that day in chemistry class
