  1. pull the plunger all the way to the last hash mark. That's 1mL worth. And if you use the needle/nipple, the solution doesn't have to make it into the syringe, 1 mL will just fill the nipple.
  2. Need an exterminator recommendation. Anyone have a service they like?

  7. EcoTech glue now available in a smaller (75mL) size. Maybe I'll bring in a case if enough interest.

  15. Having used the stuff for a couple of months now, I can say that I think you'd end up wasting a lot of it by trying to split up. The stuff is super sticky and doesn't flow like regular super glue. If you tried to split it up, you'd probably lose a lot of it on utensils and in the original bottle. Plus you'd be losing one of the major benefits of it which is the no clog cap. Whomever kept the original bottle would retain that benefit, but everyone else would lose out. Will you use up 295mL over 2 yrs on a 34G tank, probably not. If you get your corals to grow really fast and you frag them like crazy - maybe. But I promise you in 2 yrs, you won't have that 34 anymore. You'll upgrade and use the glue on the new rock/corals. For me, I hope I never run out because I know when I do run out, that'll be right when I need it most. It always happens that way! All that being said, since I'm a dealer for EcoTech gear, if a couple of people want to pick up some bottles, I can see about arranging a deal.
  16. I've tried to grow pods and I gave up. The amount of phyto I had to pump into the system made it cost prohibitive. You are supposed to keep the water (about 1/4 of a 5 gallon bucket full) green enough that you can't see the bottom. Well even with a small population of pods, I was blowing through a bottle of DT's about every 2 weeks. Another issue is pods like cooler water and little or no light. Everything I read said growing them in a cool basement is best. I'll be interested to see if you get better results with the warm water and high light.
  17. Aw Hey Man! We should plan on a TacoDeli meetup so we can grab lunch. Good to see you are on the order!
  18. I'm setting up a Vivid Aquariums group buy as a thank you for them renewing their sponsorship. Vivid Aquariums has a great selection of just about everything, including FISH so peruse their website, then place your order keeping in mind the following: - Order closes, Friday, May 6th @ 5p. If I don't have your payment, I drop you from the order. Sorry, deadlines are deadlines. - Pickup will be @ my house. Or if we have enough interest, I can coordinate a north/south/central pickup. - Shipment will arrive probably Wednesday or Thursday the next week. Once the order is in I'll have an exact delivery date. - The shipment usually arrives @ 10:30a so if you can schedule breaking away from lunch or working from home, its a great way to get your goods early! - minimum GROUP total order is $150. So if we don't get enough interest to have a total order value of $150, it won't go - $225+ qualifies for free shipping, - Dry goods DO NOT count towards our order total, DO NOT get the 10% off and DO NOT get free shipping. - a $10 box fee applies to our order (we split it among everyone ordering) Payment works as such: I have to order and pay for everything myself. They won't let everyone pay individually then group our orders together (like @ reefcleaners.org). So I'm requesting that everyone either pay cash or paypal directly to me before 5p on Friday May 6th. Once I get everyone's order, I'll confirm it with them, then send the order off. PLEASE NOTE: If you are paying via paypal, be sure to add 3.5% for paypal fees. Paypal disabled my personal (no fee) option since they think I'm running a business. PM me for my paypal addy. Vivid Aquariums always gives us customer service and MORE than generous frags so you won't be disappointed. MAKE SURE you check out theirWYSIWYG picks. They are adding new inventory all the time and their stuff looks great!
