I use and would recommend a 100mm f2.8 macro lens on my old DSLR. I see that Canon has a 180MM lenses out there with a slightly higher Fstop. Anyone have experience with these? I think it would allow for better close up shots of acros, but concerned that the aperture would not do well in low light.
I currently shoot with this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004XOM3/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thinking about trying this one: https://www.amazon.com/Canon-180mm-AutoFocus-Telephoto-Cameras/dp/B00009XVBU/ref=sr_1_20?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1534528667&sr=1-20&keywords=canon+macro+lens
I recently saw a post on instagram from someone who was using a 200mm f4.x nikon lens, who had some amazing photos and it got me thinking.
