Down here for the weekend... which one should I check out? Any recommendations appreciated... seems like a lot more out here than in austin.

Lucky. I tried grabbing one on BRS but wasn't quick enough.

Had them until I got a Melanurus wrasse. haven't seen one in months. Flat worm exit works too...but not as efficient as a natural predator imo.

I'm sure any equipment with fine calibration/testing equipment testing like the Trident, Alktronic or any other system will need repairs/servicing at some point. Seems like everyone found out a few days prior to the release that there was going to be maintenance fees associated with it though. Never was really a talking point leading up to the release. Oh well. Hopefully they send more units out soon. Have a feeling it'll be a while before I can snag one.

I'm guessing most of us never really check the parameters of fresh mixed salt water...at least I never have. Figure it should be perfect...but suppose like anything you might have got a bad batch. Kinda a scary thought. Hopefully you figure it out soon.

Is .03 mg/l the same thing as .03ppm...such as from a RedSea test kit?

Forgot to mention...ATI ballast and fans are brand new/never used.

Bulbs about a year old but still works great. - $10 obo ATI 2x54w T5 High-Output Ballast w/ wire harness & 6' powercord (All 3 items would cost $50 from BRS.) - $25 obo Silenx 80mm fans x2 (Purchased both for $20). - $10 obo Willing to trade for small frags too. Pickup in Georgetown off Hwy 29/Ronald Reagan.

Sorry to hear. Im no expert either but I'm going through a similar issue. Have lost quite a few sps but lps/softies show no signs of being affected. I stopped testing my parameters often a few months ago and my sps started dying. Either from the base or in the middle... but never from the tips. I suspect an alk swing with 0 nitrates/ phosphates was the culprit. My digis, pocilloporas, and a few others were however were unaffected... but I lost about half of my sps. My tds meter crept up to 1ppm after the last stage recently... so maybe my ro water is an issue as well. Hopefully it was the lack of nutrients and alk swing... cuz I'm dosing nitrates/ phosphate now and seems like an easy fix. Setup auto dosing, awc and am testing everything daily again. Hopefully u get it all worked out!

I never have had good luck with blue reef chromis... but they're probably my favorite color variation compared to the others. Not sure why... but hopefully they do well in your tank.

Ah that's no good. Aren't you running the alktronic? Figured your alk would be dialed in with that thing.

Maybe we should start our own club. It's a love/hate relationship having to look at Ty's awesome corals all the time...
