  1. good job BIRD...I need a frag tank almost that size.
  2. i feel ya...last year about this same time my A/C went out. My wife was pregnant 8mnths and the tank was an issue. Luckily i had some 1/2 gallon milk containers that i freeze in my big freezer, so i just put one of them in there to keep the temp below 80-81. Hope the A/C is an ez fix for yall. i have two box fans if u need them, and im pretty sure your not to far away.
  3. AHHH..ok, i have a friend in the business of leveling houses, might could get ya a good deal.
  4. AHHH thats just an excuse...LOL...Looks good. If its a slab foundation then there would have been no issue. I have my 120G on the so called "edge" of the slabb and havnt had any problms. I like the piping and all looks great.
  5. it won't hurt. Any benefits are arguable. They are really there so you can see any night critters moving around. And a whole handful of things that arent "Just to see the critters" If the heat wasnt an issue I'd run my MHs for longer but just cant do it. Unless someone wants to donate a BIGGER chiller...LOL
  6. VHOs on at 11:40am, (4) T5s on at 11:50am, (4) T5s on at 12:00 noon, MHs on at 4:40, MHs off at 8:40pm, (4) T5s off at 9:20pm, (4)T5s off at 9:30pm, VHOs off at 9:40pm, LED moonlights on at 9:40pm till 12:00midnight. DARKNESS till the next morning at 11:40am. Basically 12 hrs of daylight and 12 hrs of darkness.
  7. +1 for MARKIE...a little bigger is always better thats what they say
  8. i thnk EBAY shld remove it...Its just outta hand
  9. 1431 and Discorvery blvd. cedar park 78613. im fixn 2 leave to go DOVE huntn so probly tomorow would wrk better. I dont know what time ill be home. Ill call if i get back at a descent hour.
  10. light dont come on till later..ill get a pic when there on. Its basically metallic green. It will do fine in any place u put it. It isnt happy in my tank cause of the LOW nutrient level. Needs dirtyer water. this one wont move, whereever u put it is where its gonna stay
  11. i have a pretty good sized Metalic Green Open Brain, its probably 4" on inflated and when its happy an full of water probably 6"-8". $40
  12. +1 thats exaclty what i was gonna say. if it is reef ready put some water in the overflow box as well to check the bulkheads for leaks, if its just gonna have a HOB type filter or filter box then no need.
  13. The other thing...WHO wants to have a tank where the water line is 9"-12" LOW to create a wave that big? Its assinign. I can lower the water level in my 120G DT by 6" also and move the wavebox (nano) down and make a 4" wave also. The look of a tank with a waterline that low SUCKS!!! I'll stick with my wavebox. This is just my $.02

  17. it not spoken for yet, had someone interested but they never contacted me. Give me a call tomorow if u want it. I shld be home.
  18. there ya go Mark GRAB it!!!!!
  19. OK>>>lets see, yes possibly some PVC 90s, 45s, etc will do good. As far as the rest goes id just do it the way U wanna do it cause in the end thats the way its gonna be done. EVERYONE does it diffently and usualy the way YOU-I do it usualy gets it done. STRESS>>>let see a 900 mile trip overnight, put them in a tank with diffrnt water parameters, let sit for a month, then re-stress them will another water change and move.....realy doesnt matter how it happend as long as it gettn done. Sorry if i confused the subject in any way
  20. i would just use the water from ur tank when u do water change, get a HOB all one filter and a light. I wouldnt use any sand or live rock, makes it harder to catch them. My Qtank is just that bare bottom, no sand, HOB filter with carbon and phosguard, a cheapo light, powerhead, and a heater. Its only a 10 gallon tank but with no LR or Sand i havent had a need for skimmer.
