  5. I got some ULTRA GRADE SICK RARE GREEN SLIMMER, name sounded good, but the same old S***...I've been looking as well. Just doesnt seem to be anything new coming into the market. Alot of corals just look diffrnt under diffrnt lighting so companies are calling them diffrnt names but like above if you tag it with ULTRA GRADE,SICK,RARE,etc ppl buy it. I want a red acro, but you know that as well. I have a coral that i hvnt seen in AUSTIN, call me. We need to make a day trip to FtWorth
  6. Defntly glad to have ya here, let the fun begin!
  7. nothing 2 do with rock, buy a fish or 2. DIPDIPDIP...but realy IDK 4sure.
  8. never new he got out, thought he still had a tank. He is busy with work i would imagine.
  9. I have the same sump (basically) Sara. Mine has a bigger return area. The 1st baffle doesnt set the water height at all, the 2nd one does where the teeth are. Also check the skimmer height, i had to build a stand for my skimmer to raise it to the proper height. Give me a call if you want.
  10. get them involved in understanding and dont center every minute on the tank. It will grow W/O you looking at it. My wife likes the tank alot, but she doesnt LOVE it like i do. You could ask her what she'd like to have in the tank.
  11. i bought Johns Palmers Blue Mille, Teal Mille, and Pearlberry colonies. I have frags of the palmers headed and can make as many pearlberry frags u want, and can make a few frags of the teal mille. Ill be coming up to nextwave also. Have never shipped B4 so its up 2 u pickup or meet up there.
  12. Mark and Derek, Steven(Hydro) his wife and I are gonna carpool, if we take his truck of mine we can all ride together, I purchased the WHOLE enchillada ticket for everything. I would imagine that we can work it out. Let me or Steven know.
  13. TTT, and just purchased ticket to event. Shld be fun
  14. great looking so far, I like the '70 Chevelle in the forground. I had a '70 SS ElCamino with a 454 and BigShot Nitrous System, "IT WAS FUN"
  15. i ran 2-400w 14k SPS bulbs at 1st, then went to 20k Reeflux, and now i hv 15k XMs. i like the color of these bulbs, there being ran on coralvue ballasts. But i also have 8 T5s and 2 VHOs so IDK. Its all in what u like and what the corals like.
  16. cool to see ya with another tank
  17. looks almost like mine, great fish and u have enough room for MORE
  18. ya Mark and I talked for awhile, I want to be able to controll the pumps. I DONT wanna buy another controller I.E. APEX, NEPTUNE,DA etc. with the Vorteks i would have to cause they only come with 3 adjustments unless u have them hookd to a controller. With the 7096 and 6105s i know im buying a controller but its not $600s. I like the reefkeeper i have but it is full. I thnk i will have to go with the Tunzes. Also the only access i have is the back of the tank, the sides arent accessible.(inwall).
  19. maybe ill hv 2 come ober and get an overvue b4 i buy
  20. Mn i wish i could remember the thread on RC but there is a company that makes like a small rod as in ur picture that has a winch motor on the end. It is controlled with a remote to go up and down.
  21. DEFNTLY PROF...Epic Reef...dont know id use limestone to much, alot of crazy minerals in that stuff.
  22. So thinkn about making a big purchase and wanted to see if anyone has used or is using the Tunze 7096 controller and 6105 powerheads? This is the kit im thinkn of buying and wanted to know from users if they like them. Is the controller easy to program etc....
  23. So this past weekend as every year i did my usual yearly tank maintanence which consited of water change, draining the return side of the sump and cleaning the detris off the bottom, redoing all the vinyl tubing to reactors, disassembling both return pumps to check for wear, pulling return pipe and megaflow drain pipe and cleaning, power head cleaning and inspection, cleaning skimmer complete, and changing the carbon and GFO in the 2 reactors. WOW its amazing how when its done things just seem to look HAPPIER!!! I made a cover for my overflow box to try and keep the algae growth inside return box down to a minimal. I am only writing this to remind PPL that sometimes we let the hard work go and inevetably something goes wrong. This year everything for me look to be in good working order and didnt cost me much money. Maybe this will persuade one of yall to check the things you dont normaly check and clean the thing that you dont normally clean. HAPPY REEFING guy/gals...
