  3. Just attempted to glue an epoxy coated magnet to the back of a veggie clip with regular superglue. Decided to do two at the same time. Everything was going so well until I sat them down 6 inches from each other. Now I have superglued magnets and super glue all over the desk.

I think I'll leave it alone and let that one be a super strong magnet.

I accidentally put glue on both sides of the magnet and ended up gluing myself to them... Not my shiniest moment.

  4. Well the algae box didn't really work. 2 days later it was completely empty. It slowed him down but not by much. Back to the drawing board.
  5. My foxface rabbit is an algae hog. He eats the dried stuff super fast and when I throw the live stuff in it doesn't hit the bottom of the tank before he destroys it. I've tried planting the tank but he eats faster than it grows. I'm considering adding a tang and that will only increase me issues with this. Solution? The algae box. built it out of eggcrate and zip ties. Crammed it full of dragon's breath macro algae and let it grow out for a few weeks in another tank. The algae extended out through the eggcrate. Once it went into the tank the rabbit fish quickly nipped off the parts he can reach. The algae then grows out more and he cleans that off. Keeps him super busy swimming all around it looking for new growth or parts that the current has pushed out to where he can reach. I will eventually mount it a little better. I'll also probably pull it and drop it in the sump for a few weeks to grow out again and pick up a fresh load of pods. Oh did I mention that the thing was literally dripping with pods when I put it in there?
  6. I'm a lawyer with my own firm. McHam Law. I do family law, criminal defense, probate and civil litigation. Hopefully one of these days I'll grow the practice to the point that I can have the big office with the giant tank that I've always dreamed of. Sharks anyone?
  7. My wife was right. Aquariums are glass boxes you pour money into.

There's a little water also..., but yeah that's about right.

  8. my wife does wedding flowers as a side business and is always buying marbles etc from the dollar store. They come in these plastic mesh bags. I have been buying live rock rubble from the LFS for not very much per pound and filling the bags with it. Basically turning rubble into a rock. I keep it in the sump and can move all of it around to clean up etc. plus I can dump them in the DT for a bit to replenish my pod supply every once in awhile. you have to watch out though as some of them have a metal clip closing one end. East enough to remove and replace with a zip tie.
  9. I've been spot feeding my critters using a syringe that the pharmacy gives us every time we pick up a prescription for our toddler. Attached a 1 foot piece of air line hose and now I have a precision spot feeder.
