    My wife is a wedding coordinator and is looking for someone to play "bartender" for a wedding on Friday night? You don't need a TABC license, you only have to pour beer out of a keg and pour glasses of wine. It would be about 5:30-11:00 pm at Zilker Clubhouse.

    My Hippo Tang disappeared for 2 days. Had a temp drop in the tank and thought she was done for. Thank goodness she showed but up yesterday. The family CFO was going to shut down my budget for new fish if I lost another one.

      GD cold snap has my tank way below temp again. I took steps to prevent but not enough. Building a tank into an exterior wall is stupid.

    Was watching Tanked yesterday and one of the guys on the show was talking about stocking a customer's tank with fish that play well together and said something along the lines of "African Cichlids get along really well together"

      I can't watch that show anymore. They are fabricators, not fish guys. I'd dread to see a '1 year after' show that gave survival rates for their tanks, and the cleaning schedules. I bet it is low on survival and high maintenance. :(

    was feeding my all male hap and peacock cichlid tank when I noticed a tiny little fish swimming around.

    I have a 55 gallon cichlid tank that sits behind me in my office. When the automatic feeder goes off it sounds like the water is boiling as they go for the food.

      I like it. I think programing is a little counter intuitive but it works well if you can keep it out of the water. Not sure what happened this time. I didn't do anything that could have caused it to fall in.

    I've thought about buying the dollar store shells in the past but am concerned that they may have been treated with various chemicals/cleaners that I don't want to introduce to the tank. Have you had any problems along those lines?
