    Dallas Cowboys won, but they looked so bad it feels like a loss. Romo and Witten especially. On another note, I called last week to check on the open office space next to Papa John's in Hutto. Realtor was out until Tue. Can't wait to hear from him.

    The Center for Biological Diversity on Monday filed a petition with the National Marine Fisheries Service to place orange clownfish--more commonly known to children as Nemo fish--and seven other reef fish species under protection of the Endangered Species Act.

      Several of the clownfish species have been on the list awhile. (One species is only known from a few dozen individuals). As far as the Tangs, while it's sad to see poorly handled fish the yellow tangs are carefully managed in Hawaii and the regal tangs are now collected as post larva (less than 1% survival in the wild at this stage) and captive raised. I would hope this is an incentive to do more captive breeding.

    Can't wait for Nov.28th. Last day at Dell. Put my 13 years in. Time to move on to something bigger and better. Never been unemployed. Going to do that for a month, then decide which way I want to go. Lots of different choices.

      Thanks Grog. Been knowing it would happen for 5 years. Just been waiting for the date. Haven't been happy for awhile, but wasn't leaving empty handed. I volunteered just to get it over with.

    Ever since I've seen the sting ray for sale at RCA, can't get it off my mind. Would be really cool to have 1. I love the way the feel. Still remember the smoothness from Georgia Aquarium.

      Yea I also say the ray at RCA and saw him splash up some water so even if you don't have flying rays you'll have wet floors for sure. But then again, it's a sting ray and no one has it. Looks like it's time for a tank build for you.

      I'm getting pretty close 2 where I want to be on my 3 tanks. Just a few more corals. 4th is in the works. Said a Tang and lion fish could go in with the sting ray. So, think I'm going to aim for that.

    Loving the LED lights for the seahorse tank. They are so much more active since the change. Time to get some corals in there now.

    Time in ATL is almost up. Got to hit up Varsity's on the way out. Had a great time, except for Stone Mountain. The rain cancelled everything. Aquarium was crazy, had great food in ATL, meet Kevin Hart, saw Chipper move to 2nd all time RBI leader for 3rd baseman

      Stone Mountain is really cool however. We just didnt' get to see the lasershow or fireworks. Got caught up in crazy storm and lost wife for 30 mins when I went to grab umbrella.

      Sounds like a pretty sweet time. Compare that to me sitting in Dallas listening to my in-laws talk about gas prices and the things they have in their storage units. Maybe you can feel my jealousy

    Said I was going to take this tank slow, but I lied. Found the stuff I wanted for an awesome price. Will at least wait till I get back from ATL.
