Definitely waiting to see pictures of the finished stand skin.
Looking good.
Me too!

Thanks Ty!
Still have the remnants of a GHA outbreak due to not keeping up with changing our GFO, but apart from that going well.
At least most of the GHA is turning brown/gold and receding, so it's a good sign....

New Kessils showed up
Have a nice collection of boxes now...
How the tank looked with 4 A360WEs:
6 A360WEs all in place:
Rewired and waiting on the control (stereo) cables to show up today:
I'll post a picture and/or video later when I get the other two powered up after the cables get here

Lots going on finally!
Swapped out all the controllers on the Jebaos (WPs/RWs) for APEX adapters. Running through 10 programs throughout the day. Really love this change!
Built the magnetic frames for the stand, going to skin them this weekend. Going to use some whitewashed / distressed boards. We measured wrong on one... oh well nobody will see it
Extended the siphon breaks on the returns and now aren't seeing too much flow back. This is the normal sump operational height and then with both return pumps off and also the skimmer off. The returns are on a battery backup, so should only turn off after about 2 hours of no power.
Acclimating the coral we took over from the frag tank after an 80 day QT period. The Rainbow Hammer was a little annoyed, but is now starting to come out a bit more. Some of the other LPS and ZOAs were annoyed when I was running more GFO, but I've cut back as I beat a lot of the GHA down. Have some SPS on the other side of the tank acclimating as well.
Went ahead and ordered the "final" 2 Kessil A360WEs as well. Bringing the total up to 6, which I think will do for the foreseeable future. Should be here Thursday. I'm really eager to see what another 2 will do. Going from 3 to 4 was a big difference.
Here are the new frags in the frag tank going through their 72+ day quarantine, along with the Linckias and a Sea Hare.

Added a bunch of new frags (Thanks Sam and Ty):
Blue and Orange Linckias are doing well, so is the Sea Hare:
Installed the UV sterilizer in the sump:

Lights are gone
Skimmers are all I have left.
Think I have a 75 gallon canopy/light as well. Would only be good for fish only.
-
Added our Reef Octopus DCS300 skimmer... it's a beast!
-
I think they're sold
-
New lights in
Getting much more spread with them mounted higher...
Can add 3 more down the line as well... and break the bank!
-
$150 for both lights.

Just sent you a text

Updated with new LEDs for sale
-
Decided to raise the lights a little bit...
For the 3 watt cheap Chinese lights, I used a 2x4 cut to 4" long.
For the Current Orbit Marine I used a 2x2 cut to 3.5" long.I then used Krylon Fusion to paint the wood black.
Drilled three holes at the top of each block to attach the legs of each fixture with black zip ties.
I then painted some metal tabs and screwed them into the bottom of the blocks to keep them from sliding off and into the tank.
Here are some pictures:

Just added two large pieces of rock that have been in the display's sump for 18 months and also the 8x8x4" MarinePure block.
To also help kick off the cycle I added two very dirty filter pads from the display.
Added some leftover nitrifying bacteria as well as 2 bottles of BioSpira. Hopefully the cycle goes nice and quick
Also put in the ATO and 29 gallon ATO storage tank. Sorry pic from IP cam...
-
Fired the tank up...
No leaks and went ahead and added the salt.
Haven't messed with the drains much so it's pretty noisy...
Have the RW-15s set to Else mode on their lowest setting, still getting good water movement. Will sync and run wave mode after everything is mixed...

Almost time for frags!!!!
Yeap I have two big pieces of rock that have been in my sump for 18 months or so, one all nice and gross with algae all over it in the fuge lol...
Also have a new 8x8x4 MarinePure block in the sump I'm going to move over to the frag tank as well.
Just ordered two 75 gallon bottles of BioSpira I'm going to dump in there too. Also have some other bacteria sitting around.
Get this thing kicked off
We're going to LA on the 21st, so going to pick some frags/coral while we're down there. There are some really interesting smaller wholesalers down there with nice stuff
Not going too overboard though... not sure how the tank is going even mature/handle coral. We go to LA every few months, so the next trip I'll pick up a lot more

Tank filled and water going into the sump
-
Well the water is almost to the overflow now...
You can see the disco ball effect of the CCL fixture. I don't think it'll be that bad with coral and black racks in there...

Looks much better in person, kind of hard to tell in pictures.
