Also, we have some Coral RX as well. Would you go with that over Bayer?
-
Just bought some from Australia just in case.
I'll try to get another video in a little bit here.
Our vet is a little strange, actually thinking of going to a different one soon.
It's been 72 days of the snails and coral being in the frag tank. Kind of want to move everything to the display soon.
-
This is an older video on our nuked shortcake:
Seems to be more now. Got the coral from like 4 different places for the frag tank, got some dirt cheap frags from a wholesaler that had a bunch just sitting around. Would guess that is where they might have come from.
All dipped in Bayer.

I might just be paranoid but I think we might have some red bugs in our frag tank.
Just want to be safe then sorry.
Our vet doesn't carry it, so no go there.
Does anyone have any in town I could buy?
I need to try 150 gallons 3 times. I think one large chew would work.
Thanks!

We've been using that for about a year now
Tangs, Triggers and Wrasses love it.
Not nearly as dense as the nori we had been using.

I know I've gotten coral up there at least once. I can't remember off the top of my head who's up there though.
Edit: Maybe I'm thinking twin creek or onion creek... Too many creeks around here.
Hahah, off of 360 in Westlake.

Good point lol
I did make her pull around a second time... sorry if it's somebody on here and there was a car creeping past your house around 8...

Hey everyone,
Tina and I had to go to her mom's house last night in Lost Creek to check on a few things since she's the realtor and the inspection was going to happen today.
She had just got a new car and hadn't driven a manual in a few years, so was a bit nervous to park on the hill in front of her mom's house. I suggested that she looped around and parked the car facing down hill.
We never go this way and it was dark, so I was shocked to see a small tank (cube?) in one of the houses and then another tank and a huge display (300ish gallons?!?!) in their living room.
Just curious if it's anyone on here... tanks looked really nice, but I didn't want to be too much of a creeper haha

Lights are gone
Skimmers are all I have left.
Think I have a 75 gallon canopy/light as well. Would only be good for fish only.
-
Added our Reef Octopus DCS300 skimmer... it's a beast!
-
Using two in the sump for the display and one in the sump for the frag tank.
Use the spheres in hob filters on qt tanks as well.
-
I think they're sold
-
New lights in
Getting much more spread with them mounted higher...
Can add 3 more down the line as well... and break the bank!
-
$150 for both lights.

Just sent you a text

Updated with new LEDs for sale

Decided to raise the lights a little bit...
For the 3 watt cheap Chinese lights, I used a 2x4 cut to 4" long.
For the Current Orbit Marine I used a 2x2 cut to 3.5" long.I then used Krylon Fusion to paint the wood black.
Drilled three holes at the top of each block to attach the legs of each fixture with black zip ties.
I then painted some metal tabs and screwed them into the bottom of the blocks to keep them from sliding off and into the tank.
Here are some pictures:

Thanks
Didn't want to get too crazy with harder to keep coral since it's a brand new tank. Chancing it with the acros...

Just added two large pieces of rock that have been in the display's sump for 18 months and also the 8x8x4" MarinePure block.
To also help kick off the cycle I added two very dirty filter pads from the display.
Added some leftover nitrifying bacteria as well as 2 bottles of BioSpira. Hopefully the cycle goes nice and quick
Also put in the ATO and 29 gallon ATO storage tank. Sorry pic from IP cam...
-
Fired the tank up...
No leaks and went ahead and added the salt.
Haven't messed with the drains much so it's pretty noisy...
Have the RW-15s set to Else mode on their lowest setting, still getting good water movement. Will sync and run wave mode after everything is mixed...

Almost time for frags!!!!
Yeap I have two big pieces of rock that have been in my sump for 18 months or so, one all nice and gross with algae all over it in the fuge lol...
Also have a new 8x8x4 MarinePure block in the sump I'm going to move over to the frag tank as well.
Just ordered two 75 gallon bottles of BioSpira I'm going to dump in there too. Also have some other bacteria sitting around.
Get this thing kicked off
We're going to LA on the 21st, so going to pick some frags/coral while we're down there. There are some really interesting smaller wholesalers down there with nice stuff
Not going too overboard though... not sure how the tank is going even mature/handle coral. We go to LA every few months, so the next trip I'll pick up a lot more

Tank filled and water going into the sump
-
Well the water is almost to the overflow now...
You can see the disco ball effect of the CCL fixture. I don't think it'll be that bad with coral and black racks in there...

Here's a video of the nuked shortcake from today. Also Not really sure what the dark patches are near the base of the birdsnest.
Those areas had no tissue on there when I got the frag, was where pieces broke off and I made new frags out of.
Here's a video of the LPS, mostly doing well. Rainbow Hammer has been retracted over the last week or so.
Everything seemed to make it through well, minus some Acros that didn't take me trying to figure out the dosing well. Also super low nutrient system, no fish and just feeding various coral foods.
Here are some pictures of the nuked shortcake and the birdsnest. See anything alarming?
