I admit it was pretty hot out there but I was still running around in camo playing paintball with my friends

  2. 16 degrees this morning, with a windchill of -2. Not funny.

So glad we don't live out there in your neck of the woods.

  3. 24* and blowing freezing rain/snow. I'm tired of this. I'm ready for Spring. I would rather sweat.

  4. 30g is restarted, 140g is shut down and drained for repairs. New fish coming in next week! It's all good :)

  5. 6 weeks cigarette free as of today. The cravings tried to get me for some reason today, but gum and fingernails won the battle.

Grats! 13 years for me. Just remember you never have to go through that first day again if you don't smoke another.... :)

  6. 650 calories burned at the gym tonite. I'm down over 25 pounds from when I started. And that includes a two week hiatus for some kind of upper respiratory plague that tried to kill me. I've got a long way to go, but I'm on my way.

Thanks guys! My goal weight is 145. Lets just say I have a ways to go, LOL. But that's ok. I didn't get this fat in a month, I ain't gonna lose it in a month.

Please wear a name tag at our next get together since I probably won't recognize you!

  7. A few months back I bought a chalice from someone on here and neglected to pick it up. It was $50, and was either Bazooka Joe, or Pink Watermelon. Do you recognize the chalice? LOL. Shoot me a message if you do, it's driving me nuts.

  8. Any ARC members planning on coming down to hear the MAAST speaker tomorrow, or for the meeting? Please pm if you are, I am in desperate need of a favor.

  9. Any lfs in Austin that carry the Dr. G's medicated fish food?

  10. ATO won't work if you forget to turn it back on after filling the reservoir. :P

  11. Blah day. Cold, raining, grey. Good time for a water change. And fragging. I could do some fragging.

I did two of my own, today. And two yesterday. And I'll do two more tomorrow.

  12. Bleh. Crummy weather. I'm working on the rockscape for the 210g.

You aint lying! Seattle can come get their weather any ole time now.

  13. Bleh. Ice, freezing fog, sleet. Looks like a great day to frag!

  14. Bringing the salinity back up on the 140g. Getting ready for a restart :) Bubble algae didn't do so well when exposed to pure rodi, LOL.

      esacjack

didnt you just air it out to kill it off?

    2. Sherita

      Sherita

That was the small world tank in the hallway :) I'm not sure how I got bubble algae in those two tanks, but it's gone now. I hate that stuff.

  15. Busy day. 16' of new workbench built in the shop. And Saturday the new storage building arrives. Now I got a place to put mah stuffs.

Love it! Need to finish cleaning/rearranging my garage. Sounds like a huge work space.

      Pics or it didn't happen!

  16. Canopy is on the 210. Lights are installed, and canopy doors are done. Check it out in my build thread!

  17. Circular route taken on itunes. Started out with Sousa, then Polka, then a spontaneous Chicken Dance broke out. Now I'm back in Classical. WTF?

Something going on for sure. Now I'm all the way over to Buckethead. Wow.

  18. Congrats to Belinda! Her submission to the MACNA photo contest was one of the winners. She's in the calendar!

  19. Cyano outbreak mystery solved. TDS was way up. New filters and resin, and I'm back to "0". RO/DI tank and mixing stations all cleaned with acid and ready to start fresh. The only bad part was dumping nearly 80g of mixed saltwater and 60g of rodi down the drain. Lesson learned, stay on top of filter changes.

  20. Dang, clothespins are getting harder and harder to find. I guess next time I will have to order them online.

I'm with you. Why waste the power? Clothesline is a project on the list when it gets cooler. I'm not digging post holes, and pouring concrete in this heat. So, fall project.

      Dustin Blevins

The summer is the best time to build post holes! At least that is what I was told when I was a kid

use duct tape and frag glue

  21. Disaster struck today. My main frag tank crashed while I was at work. About $3000 in corals gone just like that.

My first clue was the monti's. The setosa went from bright orange to pale orange and covered in slime. The bulletproof orange cap did the same thing. Zoas closed up, acros rtn'ed.

    3. Sherita

      Sherita

BTW, it wouldn't have likely bit me, since I always have on dry, rubber soled shoes when working in the tanks. Since it couldn't have completed the circuit using me, I most likely wouldn't have even felt a thing. The corals were what clued me in that I had a major issue.

Check out the website... I lost 15lbs in 5 weeks, and I didn't weigh that much to begin with. The plans are easy to follow, progressive, and not crazy like what you normally see. They're comprehensible!

Clint is just jealous I look better in the leotard than he does.

    4. Sherita

      Sherita

Heck, right now *I* would probably be jealous. But, I'm hoping 1300 calories a day, and 90 minutes a day at the gym are about to change that. I hope.

  23. Don't forget to check out the infor for the SAoSA fragtacular coming up in January. You can find the info in our forum at the bottom of the main page. Hope to see you there!

  24. Explain this to me. How is it that I can set up a new frag tank to go with the older frag tank. Move some frags around and I still don't have any room??? They are now BOTH full. What's going on here? Now I have to find a place for my new goodies that are coming in Wednesday (Clint and Kevin gonna be jealous!)
