I am also not a real fan of all in ones. Its kind of like getting a tv vcr dvd player all in one unit none of the parts are great but they can get the job done and when one of them goes down its very hard to fix.

dont worry about a bigger tank. The bigger the tank the more stable it will be. I have a 110 and got rid of my biocubes because they were a pain in the rear to take care of.

the care on my 110 is way less than the 2 - 40ish gallon tanks I had running at the same time. In fact they were so much more work I shut them down and just have the 110 wishing it was a 300+ lol

if money is not a problem then get the biggest tank that will reasonably fit in the area you are looking to put it in. In reality if you like this hobby you will go bigger the size of the room is what holds you b ack lol.

You can also cut the costs by using rental eq. But I would recomened getting your own regulator ASAP the rest of the stuff dont go in your mouth lol altho the wetsuit err well never mind you get the idea.

I started vinager dosing a while back on a tank that had been up multiple years. When I added the microbactor 7 it caused a HUGE bacteria bloom that turned my tank a milky white color and lasted over a week I added less than the recomended amount for my water volume.

It caused no harm to the tank but you could not see more than an inch or 2 into the tank before everything was fogged in lol. I blame the mb7 because several weeks latter I added another small dose and the same bloom happend again.

I have nothing against mb7 but if you have a good amount of bacteria already it may not be needed and if your tank turns to milk dont freak like I did it will go away lol.

I also run Bio Pellets soooo that could factor in also.

and a gallon of vinager is 2 bucks and has less of a chance to cause cyano outbrake

I duno but the more words and cooler words used in there name will get you top dollar and if you add in Dragon it will double it.

it is also on ebay. fairly cheep to get the clear stuff you have to order it in bulk. And the seller on ebay will cut it to anysize you want.

I have always been told an a/c repair place can fix them. I have not had to deal with that myself yet.

But knowing what they charge it might be cheeper to replace lol
