  1. Someone mentioned that the rainbow acans like shade so I moved all mine to the back of the tank behind the rock work. The new location also allows me to "target feed" at one time. The two left in the front row came from the Dome last week. What a deal!
  2. And thanks for the compliments!
  3. They ranged from $90.00 to $250.00 for the black and white one. I was out there yesterday and he still had some.
  4. I'd like three polyps please.
  5. After one week the clams have settled in, gained some color and look happy. I added a few to the rock scape and managed to take a decent shot.
  6. YES! Nice pictures Brooks. I need to get you over my way and show me how to snap some cool pics like those. And oh yeah, your tank is rockn! I love how clean the rock is.
  7. If you are buying sps to add to your display I say go with frags. The reason for this is simple.....Frags are not as finicky when it comes to flow and flow IMO is the biggest reason fresh colonies added to a tank start to RTN/STN. I'm not saying lack of flow or too much flow is the cause, just different flow. For that reason I like to get frags and watch em grow in to big colonies.
  8. If you've seen four, that means there are hunderds more you haven't seen. Good luck!
  9. Real nice shots there Brooks. I like the pink milli the best.
  10. Good to know Cindy. I've lost my fair share of clams in the past, one would make you cry. Here are a few top down pictures. Notice the one clam is pink on one side and blue on the other. That's what really grabbed my attention.
  11. The B&W clam is ~ 3" and the others are 2.5" Thanks for all the nice compliments guys and gals. Today I'll try and correct my white balance and get a more accurate color. What I really need is a pro to come take some pics of the tank.......... Whistles.............Gabe..........Jennifer.............Brian........
  12. Andrew I asked Matt about spot feeding and he said the mari-culture farm he gets em from never feeds. I too had problems with smaller clams from ORA but were related to pyr. snails eating the footsies. AZ that sounds like a good idea! It would work out for Matt too because I'm sure we'd spend a lot of money.
  13. His website only shows about 1/20th of what he really has. All four troughs are filled with nice coral from end to end. I could have spent days staring at all the pretty stuff. If you've never been it's a must, just take extra cash cause you'll end up with way more than you went for.
  14. I drove out there but had an appointment.
  15. I'll let the pictures do all the talking. Thanks again Matt at Austin Aqua Farms. Glad to know where you're at and my wife loves the new additions(which is rare) New jewel of my reef.......Black and white Maxima! Groupie shot.
  16. Very nice! Did you get em from the farm?
  17. 11 days later even more growth and better color by the day.
  18. What are your nitrates/phosphates?
  19. Brooks, post the pictures already!
  20. Andy we also got the psychadelic chalice.
  21. Thanks everyone, glad you like. They were a little on the pricey side but once you see them in person you'll know why. Seahorsejl- shipping is about par for the course and Matt packed em like I've never seen before. No way these bags were going to leak, I give him an A++ for packaging and shipping. Heck I might have flown to Cali. for these Acans! Brooks- I have you down first in line, just make sure you save all your graduation money for me though! Cecil I have a new addiction, so this is just the beginning.........Move over SPS! haha Andy maybe we can work out a trade or something? Keep me posted. Clint
  22. Last week Raymond and I ordered some acans and a super nice chalice from Fishnfrags. I've never had acans that come close to these in color. Pictures were taken right after I mounted and placed the acans in the sand bed. Check it out!
  23. Did you make it by RCA? What's the verdict Dr. Brooks?
  24. Are you using a swing arm or refractometer? I'd double check before adding more salt to your system. It will be okay for the night, but I'd check it tomorrow with a different swing arm or with a refractometer.
