Is there a more active board?

When I joined here, it was already dead. I've never seen it in his hay day. Where do people go to locally talk about reefs?

Facebook has had a negative impact on all the hobbyest forums across the board.  Unfortunately for reefers who want to keep their systems and animals healthy for their normal life expectancies facebook is a difficult place to see any history and a great place to get a multitude of answers that don't correlate to current research. 

Is there anything specific your wanting information on?

There was a great member split up here.  Most including me went to R2R (reef 2 reef) and facebook. There is nothing here anymore unfortunately.

Not saying it's completely gone, but facebook has sucked the life out of many discussion forums, for the worse IMO as well.

Sad to see it! Loved the wealth of information I found here back when I was getting into the hobby. Thanks to all who contributed. I was just learning so didn't have much to contribute at the time.

That being said, there's a small active group called Greater Austin Aquarium Society with keepers in the salt and freshwater game. We're on facebook and Discord. The Discord stays pretty busy! All are welcome to join!
