150 gallon SPS dominant tank:

Total - 3 major tank crashes (1. over dose Biopellet, 2. Tank move including installing a new return pump, 3. overdosing GFO)

Sam's tank is awesome and has been my saving grace in sanity during my upgrade debacle! Thanks for letting me stare at pretty SPS until mine come back to me! About time on the build thread Sam!

Thanks Ty, I've being just too lazy but figure I needed to start documenting some of these coral. It's getting too hard to keep track of all the coral names in my head. I figure writing it down and storing it online somewhere would be better. lol Sorry about the horrible phone camera pic, lol.

Sam good to see your doing a build thread. I think you should charge admission to see your tank. It's like a 4 yr old going into a candy store and pictures don't do it justice. :).

It really is jaw dropping.

Lots of nice acros you have there! Tank is looking good.

Thanks Roy! Everyone always want me to frag the 2 coral from ya. Your rainbow nasuta and pink cyphastrea. Those are some popular stuffs.

Wow, your tank looks amazing! Great job. Those are some nice chalices. Good to see a tank like this lit by leds :)

Thanks Kim. Really enjoy all the options that come with the LED. Only thing is price. Really tempted to try a cheaper version of LED . just ordered a apogee mq200 to test the PAR. I had being using these for 2+yrs. Also for security measure, just wanna see when I will start losing PAR from these radion. Yet I only have them on 80% intensity so perhaps they will last longer.

My fear is Radion has only being out so long and I even went on their forum on R2R and asked about the longevity of the LED with no luck for a proper answer....I guess I gotta do my own experiment.

Sam what are the two acro colonies in the picture to the right of the chalices?

Left one is Raspberry Delight Subulata

Right one is Frazzleberry Macrolados

I like to give people the actual scientific name of the species if all possible. Thanks [emoji4]

Ah, ok. I got a stick of the Raspberry from you. If it gets even close to looking like yours I will be so happy! And I LOVE the Frazzleberry, very nice.

Thanks Jim. I do have a frag of that Frazzleberry healing on the the frag rack right now lol.

For anyone interested in the PAR, I'll be documentating the PAR in my tank. From another reefer in Reef Central did a research on the amount of PAR lost over one year period, it was like ~2%

I figure according to that calculation and running my LED at 80%.....with minor tuning on the intensity each year, these Radion 2 should last around 10yrs before it's lost the amount of PAR I need for my tank. This is all theory though base on another reefer research.
