+brian.srock
Light is now wired and good to go. I'll be working on another project over the weekend for the pico and I also outsourced a project to my friend Tyler and I know he'll do a kick *** job with it so stay tuned. +Capt. Obvious
I am sooo glad I am not the only person using metal that corrodes to make my pico light
+brian.srock
Today's update will be these pieces of wood. I also made the light stand another 6" higher and added a 1 1/2" to 3/4" reducer to hide the light fixure and dremeled the on/off knob so it fits in there snug. Peter Gott
I am loving this so far. You're taking really common objects to make what already looks like an uncommonly topnotch tank!
+brian.srock
Here it is done. Any clues to what it might be?

+brian.srock
Still need to fill the holes in with wood putty, sand, and paint but what do you think of my fluval edge look?
Peter Gott
Ah! A floating stand! Nicely done, sir! You had me stumped with the wood for a minute...hahaha.
+brian.srock
Picked up 5 Australian Acans for my pico from AAF that I have sitting in my sump temporarily. Only have a standard bulb in there at the moment so here are the stock photos from AAF. Painted the back last night and floating stand. I'll try to get pics up tonight. I expect to get my project that my friend Tyler is helping with in the next day or so. Shooting for water by the end of the week.
Peter Gott
I like your choice in stock so far too. Are you going to keep it primarily an acan tank?

+brian.srock
I tend to look through the forum and find the conversations where people are discussing the pieces they want to buy and pull the rug right under them.

+brian.srock
Water may hit the tank this week! Model has been completed thanks to my friend Tyler. It really came out AWESOME. Spraying several coats of clear coat on both mystery pieces last night and this morning. Stay tuned!
+brian.srock
After several coats of clear I think I'm satisfied that everything is full covered. 24 hours to fully cure and tonight I'm going to give everything a good rinse. Water should hit the tank tonight!
