Bayou
This stone is recycled from my last tank. I cut a cross section of some corals that grew off disc and onto the stone. bige
That's awesome. The temple is perfect. I can't wait to see it done. On a side note. Will that chiller get enough air to heat exchange? I thought they needed fresh air to work properly.
Bayou
On a side note. Will that chiller get enough air to heat exchange? I thought they needed fresh air to work properly. I'm a bit concerned about the chiller. It is a lot bigger unit than I thought it was. It was a gift so I was not sure what I was opening until I got it out of the box. I may have to downgrade to a smaller unit or put a lot of ventilation in the cabinet....holes, fans, more holes. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?qcb3cc

Bayou
Dude...that temple is cooler than kool-aid. Is it bigger than the last one?Cheers, Thanks! It is cooler than look-aid! LOL This one is just a little smaller but has much more detail. Last one had 5 layers 4" tall and this one has 10 layers 1.25" each. Plus the stair detail on this one really makes it. I kinda ran out of material so I may do a 3 sided temple instead of 4 sides. Or I may use some rock in the back. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?cyt12d
Bayou
Ordered my return pump Sicce 4.0 and a ton of epoxy for the temple assembly today. Also recieved part 1 of 3 of plumbing materials from flexpvc.com. I hope the rest comes in tomorrow. I have a buddy coming down to visit this weekend and I plan to put him to work helping me plumb the tank! I should have a lot of 1" and 3/4" black flex line left over when I am done. Of anyone needs 10-15' send me a message. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?xhixap
Bayou
Got my plumbing parts! FlexPVC even sent some candy. Should come in handy when the work starts. Checked the bulkheads, the 1" drain holes fit nice. The 3/4" return lines.... Not so much. I think I ordered the wrong type. They are they same outside diameter as the 1" but they have thicker walls to give a smaller inside diameter. Will need to order new ones tomorrow. Anyone know of a local store that carries bulkheads? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?tvlpki

Bayou
Got return pump and 4 tubes of epoxy in yesterday. Stopped by AquaTek today to see if they had bulkheads. They did and they fit! Also of note, I have been waiting on Trigger Systems to begin make skimmers again. I want the Bursa. Got an email from David last week that it will be a while and he is not sure when they will stop making sumps and make some skimmers. So I am going to get something else...... Short list was diablo from reef octopus and economy skimmer from eshops(both have great pumps that are under mounts) Guess what I saw on the shelf at AquaTek today! Diablo!! It is mine now Now I just need some time to put all this together. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?bcvec4

Bayou
Made some progress today! Finally. I took the afternoon off work Friday and worked on the tank(while still at the office so it was odd) I managed to cut and fit all the drain and return parts. Then I came in today and glues everything while nobody was here to breathe the glue and primer. I think it will work well. I have 1 joint I was not able to fit together but I will get a coupling on Monday and get it done. Gonna try to get temple built this week on lunch breaks..... Then finally get some water in this glass box! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?1mwfxq
