polarbear
I was wondering how much I could sell a baby GBTA for? I have about 7 of them in my tank. They keep splitting so I want to sell some of them. They are about the size of a quarter when open.
pbnj
Probably $20-$30.
polarbear
Thanks. Im going to post them tomorrow to see if anyone wants to buy some. If anyone is interested please let me know. Thanks again.
jestep
I've been selling mine for $10 for half dollar size. Mine finally stopped splitting, but he was doing it much more frequently than I would have liked. If they're splitting a lot, your parameters may be changing too much. They tend to split when stressed or when there are major changes like a really big water change.
mFrame
Yeah, for that size I'd think $10-15 would be more in line. The fact that they're captive and reproducing frequently could help. The local stores are selling some really bright electric greens for $29-39 about 3x that size.
polarbear
Thanks. These are the ones that I got from your tank when you were housing them for your friend. The 2 that I got are now 7.

Teresa
I'd definietly pick one up for $10 - if that's what you want to sell them for. LMK
polarbear
Let me think about it and I'll send you a PM when I decide. Thanks everyone.
Timfish
I hate to be the bearer of bad news and hopefully I'm totally off the mark but at quarter size have you ruled out the possibility of them being mojano anemonies? Some of my BTAs can be pretty small but even the smallest is still several inches across when open.
mFrame
No, they're definitely GBTAs. He got the originals from me and for some reason the darn things just split and stay tiny, the largest from that line I've had got to be about 3" diameter. This is in the same tank that my rbta's grow to 1-2' in diameter.
polarbear
Ya. I'm thinking about getting a new one that is already large since these just split and not grow bigger. I want a home for my 2 clowns. They host in my GSP now but really want them to host in a GBTA.

Devin
If you do sell, I would like to pick up a couple. Thanks
mFrame
They are perfect for a pico tank if you have sufficient light.
