Chad and Jen May
Its POOING!!! Mine do it too, all 3 of them
jamesdean3
they usually shrink when they are "pooping" . Unfortunatley i don;t think its that. Silversides can be very dangerous for BTAs. it might be having a hard time digesting it, i hope it turns out ok. keep us updated
theresa
I have this Anemone for two years now and never seen it do this before and have always fed two silversides. I sure hope it is just pooping....will keep you updated. If it is having hard time digesting after two days should I just put it out? Tonight is feeding night should I try to feed or just leave it alone? Thanks for everyone's help.
VooDoo
i would feed it just one piece and see how that goes. how big are the silversides?
Aaarrrggg
Anyone missing from the tank? It might have bitten off more than it can chew...
jamesdean3
really don't feed it today. it might stress it out more than it is now. jsut watch it and maybe feed in a day or two when it looks better
FragsandMore
I have read that BTA's need their food to be small, so I hope you are cutting up their silversides, and not just letting it inhale the entire fish whole. Give it a few days, and then feed it again, I would say if you have had it for two years, it should be fine assuming you havent done any major changes to your tank lately. pbnj
With enough light and fish poop, you don't need to feed BTAs at all. I have three RBTAs in my tank and I never target feed them....one is over 10" across.
DerrickH
Im with pbnj on this. Every time I feed mine they split.....I only wanted one, now I have 5 GBTA's and they are anchored down good so removing them is a pain....
Timfish
+1 on not needing to feed BTAs
