  1. Very nice! What and how are you feeding them?
  2. Have pics? There are numerous kinds with most being harmless. I have tons of tiny serpent starts that are fun to watch. Currently I'm being overrun by asterinas, but my harlequin shrimp love the steady food supply.
  3. Not quite right, he can and will hurt you if you touch him. They can sting the crap out of you. In small sizes your other tank occupants should be fine, but I have seen large ones steal food out of my anemone's tentacles.
  4. Sold, but holding names for future clones if anyone is interested.
  5. My Copps RBTA has split and I have a clone up for sale. If you've seen Mark's then you've seen the same anemone (clone-brothers). Very healthy and good color, opens up to about 5-6" under light (clown to the right is about 5" for comparison). It's the middle one in the picture. Will hold with paypal payment of $90. PM me and I'll respond with details.
  6. That's a good price. I paid that for my 90g aquarium alone
  7. Yep, they're hardy and easy to grow but no matter where you put them you'll end up seeing some individuals pop up in various places all over your tank. I like em.
  8. Thought I'd add pics so that people know what they look like
  9. What are you going to do for lighting?
  10. You might check my most recent posts about it (http://www.austinree...h__1#entry99064). I had the same thing on my clown and treated with Maracyn, Maracyn2, and finally QuickCure. I would pull him and put him in a QT tank. The QuickCure did the trick for me and costs about $3. I have a 12g eclipse that I used for QT that you're welcome to borrow.
  11. Man, those things are prolific! You were generous enough to give me some frags of devils hand last year and since then mine have gone nuts. I've probably passed on about 20-30 frags. Mine is constantly pinching off babies! Easiest thing in any tank I've had to grow.
  12. futon? At walmart for <200. Ikea also has a few options: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00161837
  13. Happy Birthday! Get anything cool?
  14. Jason's got some really nice stuff, you'll be happy with whatever you get from him. Thanks for the Organisms...
  15. No issue at all with them being together. I have BTAs, RBTAs, Long Tip Anemone, rock anemone, and a condy. They're all fine with each other, they just hate corals.
  16. Get one of the credit cards that allows you to generate one-time use numbers for internet purchases. Best protection I've found.
  17. Actually, you don't get to see it all until his next video, "Dealing with crabs".
  18. I was walking through the new Petco in Kyle the other night to get dogfood and was suprised that not only do they have a saltwater section, but that it had corals in it. Nothing amazing, but they had zoa colonies, a gbta, and mushroom rocks. The prices weren't stellar and the gbta was totally bleached, but I was surprised they even had them. Keep in mind that in-store purchases do not have a 15 day guarantee. That seems to be limited to online orders.
  19. Yeah, he's a sweetheart. Had his shots now and is being slowly introduced to our other cat and dog. Pics of the family to come soon...
  20. and new Global Marine Database GMDb link to some cool pics and critters critters
  21. So, my two cents would be that there is nothing special about this box design vs tunze's, the magic isn't in the box construction. From a lot of DIYs I've read I don't think the strength of the pump will be nearly as important as 1) if the pump is designed to deal with the constant on/off used to generate the waves, and 2) the quality of the controller unit that turns the pump on or off. For $100 I think it would be a worthwhile experiment. A pump doesn't have to be super strong to be able to pull in enough water to fill the box, but it has to be durable enough to withstand the wear and tear, plus be designed to auto-correct if the impeller starts up spinning the wrong direction.
  22. Petco had the stands for $99 last year and the Aquadome had them for a few dollars more (support your LFS!), you may want to check locally before going online.
  23. Check these out, some great pieces that allow you to do things with PVC that you can't do with the standard parts available at your local home/garden store. Formufit
