Keeping the progress documented requires pics! Years ago I had some friends that fostered animals that were too young to adopt from the local animal shelter. We were over there once and they had a kitten that was under 2 weeks old. I was holding it in my lap. It managed to crawl up my shirt and into my pocket. It slept there for hours, through all of my movement.

I had one...it was doing a great job keeping the sand clean...until something ate it's legs.

based on the baker's racks that I have dealt with for supporting computer equipment I would have no faith in their ability to hold a 55g tank full of water.

Pretty much, ask a mod to, if you really need it deleted. Otherwise put a "SOLD" or "No longer for sale" post at the end of the thread. Or edit the initial post to say the same.

back to acting like it's skittish normal self this afternoon. phew! Daughter would kill me if that fish died.

Our Fairy Wrasse is a bit skittish... I was feeding last night, so I had the cover off of the tank. I made a slight shift, heard a splash and saw an object fly out of the top of the tank, land on a table more than two feet from the tank and then fall to the floor. I managed to get it back in the tank pretty quickly and it immediately went into hiding. Hoping it's not injured.

This means that you can plug the wired connection into a wireless bridge to get wireless. It does not have built in wireless. Pretty sure that's the same for both.

Huh...I hadn't heard about that one. The only differences I had heard were the ability to run three probes and the ability to control Tunze pumps off of the base unit.

You're right...I had even been looking at the page about their dual reactor when I typed that. Both media in a single reactor is fine? Ok..even though it's technically not part of the dual reactor...how about an education on a calcium reactor too? (My Alk (6) and Ca (400) are both low. And that's measured within a day of a water change... )

Thinking about a calcium reactor. Maybe a the dual Calcium/GFO reactor from BRS. What's the gain? What's the maintenance period? What are the alternatives?

Wish mine gave a **** about each other. If it wasn't for my daughter getting pissed I'd consider getting rid of the one that won't host in an anemone and see if I can get another one that would pair with the first and host as well. mine are ocellaris as well.

It's not at the pump. It's at the bottom where the sides meet the base. It might just need to be tightened. It's not leaking enough to be a concern for me, so I haven't dug any deeper.

I've got the SWC 160 Cone as well. Loving it. I will say that there appears to be a slight micro-bubble leak out of the bottom of the skimmer. Not enough that it seems to effect the performance, but enough that, if I had the skimmer in the return section, I'd have a little bit of concern about.

If I dropped brine shrimp in my tank I could probably get all five fish with a single scoop of a net.

The other day I approached the tank as normal and my fairy wrasse freaked. Went straight up and hit the egg crate I have on top hard enough to make it bump up a little bit, then disappeared for a few hours. Once it came back out I was looking for any damage, but it looks ok...phew! First time I'd ever seen it react that strongly. Without the egg crate up there it would have launched out of the tank.

SWC 160 cone, in about 8 1/2" of water.

Mine's run for about 16 hours with water and air flow full open and the skimmate is very wet. Tuned for smaller bubbles and less water this morning to try to get something a little drier. Going to take some tuning, but man is it easy to do.
