Very nice Ron. Glad to see things are coming together. Did Junior build the light stand for you?
Nope, was asking around and found out that a couple of guy's I work with are welders. One guy lives in Hutto also so he was able to stop by and get accurate measurements and best of all...... it only cost me for material's.

I saw some universal remotes for led light's for like $10 at Altex yesterday, may want to check them out for compatability.

Here's a pic showing the variable speed fan's, these will speed up or slow down automatically as the temperature changes.
Cheers,
That is too cool. Does the speed change from the controller measuring the water temp or from a sensor in the light measuring the temp in the fixture?
C'mon....hook a geek up
These are the icecap variable speed fan's, I found 4 used at a decent price. These have the temp sensor integrated with the fan, here's the old icecap fan as well as the coralvue rendition. http://www.innovativ...ic-fan-120.html http://coralvue.com/smart-fans/

These are back in a bucket collecting dust so no longer available.

Would like to get rid of a couple item's I no longer need. Both Par38 Led bulb's purchased from Exotic Led. No PM's please.
(1) Par38 bulb 12 led ALL BLUE LED'S (20k) - $48 firm(1) Par38 bulb 12 led WHITE AND BLUE LED'S (12k) - $48 firm
(2) 24W T5HO ATI CORAL PLUS bulb's (bnib) - $18 each or $35 for the pair -
Thats cool James,
Finally found someone to build a light stand for my led setup. With all led's on it's more of 10K look so it's perfectly blended but that is without any optic's added. The stand is adjustable in height as well as front to back. I still need to finish up everything, control light bleed and get it looking neat.

Hi,
I would check Alk level's, my old tank would drop 2.5dHH a day if I turned off my CaRx. Low alk will cause recession in sps if low, you make want to triple check salinity also in case something happened with your top-off method(i.e. somehow topping off with saltwater while away etc.)

I have some LR I don't really need also, fully cured marco rock so I'm sure it will get you going.

Just buy the top rated led's that provide as close to full spectrum as possible. The cost will be miniscule compared to the time and effort you willl put in otherwise. Build a tank that fit's within your spec's is alway's the best way imo.

My last tank after switching over from a CaRx.
Total volume: 180 gallons
Tank size: 130 gallons
Dominant coral type or ratio: ~90% SPS, lots of zoas/palys and LPS
Cal dose: ~220ml BRS daily
Alk dose: ~235ml BRS daily

I could weld it up also
You are really close also.

whats the material? do u already have dimensions? and how long till u need it? i am a welder by trade and made my own light frame as well, it house's 2x400w MH, 8 T5HOs and 2VHOs SA. LMK
Hi,
Would like aluminum but any steel etc., would work for me. I actually would like to use the strut bracing material to create the light stand. I have the dimensions and general idea of what I want, it's seems like it's would be pretty simple to make. I really would like it built asap preferably before this Sunday

Looking for someone to weld a light stand for my LED's. The guy I was using disappeared plus he is in south Austin, looking for someone more north.

Howdy and welcome aboard.

Overskimming is kinda hard to do for reason's mentioned already. You can however upsize your skimmer to the point of it being even more inefficient for the setup you have.

Ya No problem still have it for you.
Cool!

Glad you found us here, welcome to ARC and to Austin. I'm sure I can find a few item's to help ya'll fill in the new tank.

I'm currently out of conus however I plan to be up there next week after I return. I'll be in the north Dallas area so if it's in my travel area I would have no problem helping you out with this. If you still need help just hit me up on Sunday and we can arrange something.

Hey,
I still would like to pick up the last frag, we had scheduling issues prior and now I am in Taiwan until Sunday. lmk

You can also find someone to build a steel stand for a reasonable rate. A steel stand would give you maximum support and flexability. HTH

I'll take one if still available. Is this a pic of yours or from online?
