  1. It can take a while for everything in your tank to die off. Usually you wake up one morning and something is dead; if not everything. I would really think about selling all your livestock, especially those anemones and clam, and just do things right. If you dont have enough patience to set up a tank, you will not last long in this hobby. You have some really nice stuff, and its hard enough to keep them alive when you do everything right. Just give everything a little time so you dont start off killing hundreds of dollars worth of stuff. I think you will be much happier with the hobby, and all of us will be much happier with you.
  2. Thanks Yan. They already seem at home. Shrimp is already building away.
  3. Also the amount of epoxy you buy at the LFS is usually more than at Home Depot. So really your not saving a whole lot.
  4. I see that you are setting up that new tank, and I am thinking about selling all my livestock to head to California. I could do a nice package deal on everything if you are interested.

  5. Wesryan had a 70w for sale in the hardware section recently. You might want to check there.
  6. I would do a lot of research on keeping the linkias. It might be hard to keep one in a newer 29gal. I decided against one for mine.

I will try and get a pic up. Seahorse.org does not recommend acros in the tank. I dont think that I am going to get rid of them though.
  8. I am thinking about adding a pair of erectus saehorses for my tank, and would like to hear other peoples thoughts on my tank. It is a 29g biocube with a chiller. I have slowly dropped the temp down to 74f, and it stays there no problem. I have around 50lbs of liverock, and since dosing zeo, my PO4 and Nitrates are undetectable. I am also running a Tunze 9002 in the middle chamber. I do have 2 acro colonies, and a small mini carpet. Its about the size of a quarter. I have my flow minimal, and everything seems happy. I do have lots of LPS, but nothing that seahorse.org doesnt recommend, except for those that I mentioned. I have a tailspot blenny in there, and would like to add a couple firefish and a clown goby. Maybe some sexy shrimp unless the the horses will eat them. I also want a clam at some point. Like a 3" maxima. Can anyone think of why I might not be successful?
  9. What a great resource to loose over a prank. Those guys seem to take themselves way too seriously over there. Their loss.
  10. Good job going with the Garf rock!
  11. no its not. They will most likely kill the odd one unless you have a very large tank. It might take a little while, but unless there is enough space, you will have some huge territory issues.
  12. I was thinking that you could mount the float in a different place. Maybe using a aqua lifter pump would give a slower surge to your water level.
  13. could you take a picture of your set up Matt?
  14. Mine took about a week to start pulling good skimmate. Its a great skimmer once it breaks in a little.
  15. I would look into getting a dremmel. They are handy for your reef tank in many ways. They are pretty cheap at Lowes right now, and you cant beat it for cutting precise holes in plastic.
  16. I have one corey in the equipment forum.
