  1. finally bought a 125 gal, now i need it drilled. anyone equipped and comfortable doin such a task? the tank isnt easy to move so i would hope they could come out here. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions of what else i should do to this project before i get started, im taking ideas. thanks
  2. Oozark came by an verified it was an explosion of pods. :-) whew! Thanks to everyone for the help an concern.
  3. Tank is cycled. Water was tested the day before I lost the last fish. I don't have actual numbers, the guy just said everything looks just fine. That's my fault for not asking. And ya these sick fish came in to play just after my damsel started showing illness. The history on the sick fish is in reef keeping titled "picking up my new tank tommorow"
  4. 60# of liverock (not the best). No sump just yet. I plan to build a sump for it in the very near future. The two already sick fish came from a tank I'd bought (rescued) from a lady last Monday. The water was tested Saturday, and did a 10 gal water change that night after it was tested. As for a cuc I have three mex turbos 25 crabs and a cucumber. Substrate is crushed coral. What is the job of pods if that's hat they are? Oozrkawater is coming by tonight to take a look for me. Still want to make sure these guys won't kill my tank anymore. Thanks
  5. running for about 4 months. cpr backpac skimmer, 3 inch dragon goby, 3 inch damsel, 4 inch bicolor angelfish, 3inch bicolor (already sick from high salinity in previous owners tank) 7inch blue tang (same salinity poblem)
  6. ok, in my 55 gal, the past week we all of a sudden lost 5 fish in 4 days. water test done at rca, came back perfect. only fish left is our big damsel, he is acting fine, but i have now noticed what i beleive to be parasites on the glass. they are tiny white specs that move if you look close enough, almost like lice. By collynhartman at 2010-08-25 are these parasites, or ich? and do i need to get this fish in a 10 gal qt tank? i only have 10 gals of ro in the house, so i cant acclimate him if i do. what do i do??? please help!
  7. I have a rena filstar xp3 for sale. Comes with media bags, media, hoses (i would probably get new ones) . Im going to keep the tote that is in the picture. any questions, or have a better price in mind, pm me. Asking $50 on here and $60 on craigslist. member discount. :-) By collynhartman at 2010-08-24
  8. all this moving sounds stressful on the fish. idk if stress can kill a fish though..... http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/13493-picking-up-my-new-tank-tommorow/
  9. my buddy has a 55 gal in south austin he will get rid of. the center brace is cracked/broken. im sure he will take $20 for it. just gotta fix the plastic center brace. it does hold water and is in brand new condition minus the brace.. Let me know and ill give you his info...
  10. no protruding scales, seems to have "dust" looking stuff on him. and lower belly bloated. By collynhartman at 2010-08-16
  11. question, the one on the right, in the past few days has started looking bloated. i guess thats the best way to describe it. any clue why he would be bloating? is that a sign of being sick or on his death bed?
  12. anyone know the one on the right?
