  1. Sorry to hear the loss of the barnacle. I hop your hammer will make it.
  2. I don't think so Mama but good try.
  3. Well I did go to one of the local stores and they did not have a loaner fish trap. They did not think they worked. I did end up buying a bigger net at only $4. My wife and I caught the fish without tearing apart the tank. We did it with 3 nets and a scraper and only 10 minutes. I feel we were very lucky. The flame angel is in the sump awaiting departure.
  4. I have a flame angel I added to my reef and it is picking on the corals and causing the corals not to extend their polyps. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to catch it without tearing up the tank?

    Water Advice

I ordered an RO/DI from Bulkreef Supply. I works well and I have a dual TDS meter and it comes out 0. It is fast and knowing the quality of the water is reassuring.
  6. Love the new chalices. Where are you buying them from.
  7. Sorry to hear that Brooks. I will also give you some frags. Let me know when you are ready.

    New Acans

Thats a great collection of acans.
  13. Well I run carbon but not gfo. I did a water test tonight and as follows: Ca 540, Alk 9, pH8.2, Mg 1440, nitrates undetectable. I do not have a reliable phosphate test kit. Must have phosphates due to algae growth. Ben thinking about dosing VSV or Zeovit. What is the basic difference? Both shoot for low nutrient system.
  14. I made my own fish food and have been feeding more. I have been getting a slight algae problem but the corals are growing great and look good. What would be some suggestions on what to do? I know I could cut back the feeding but then the corals were growing very slow. Hoping for better suggestions.
  15. Wow! Great job guys. I can''t wait to see the pictures. I saw the presentation and would like to do it some time with an rbta or gbta. Let me know when you are ready to sell one of your clones.
  16. Maybe you could just chew the gum for about an hour. By then all the flavor would be out of it. Wash it off good to get all the saliva off. lol

  18. Looks good. What pumps did you get.
  19. Clint, How many anthias do you have in your aquarium? Just looking at your posts again and they look great in there.
  20. What a great job. This build is inspiring. If I ever do another build I have to use some of these ideas. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Congratulations! ! ! We adopted two boys from the state. I am sure we could have some interesting conversations. I hope your girls bring as much joy in your life as our boys have ours.
  22. That would be good by me. I was planning on ordering some anthias from Dr. Fosters and Smith. They give a guaranty and the lfs do not.
  23. Nice shots. Would you post a picture of what your tri-color valida looks like in your regular light?
  24. I have not gone there yet. I live in Pflugerville and it is a drive. I guess I need to go next time I get paid. That flame hawk is cute.
  25. I enjoyed my first meeting. I met a few people and hope to meet more next time. Your tank and scolly are amazing.
