No problem on my end...I haven't told my boss when I'm taking off. I'll be coming from downtown (7th and Lavaca)...not sure which direction you travel, but RCA is always a decent spot to meet. I can be flexible with time so whatever works for you two. My cell is 698-7192.

Well, she does stay at the house and top the fish tanks off with water, feed the fish, and give the frogs crickets. If I had more, she'd take care of more LOL. She's just glad she doesn't have to feed the snakes. She's grown up with horses, dogs and cats...very reliable...if you ever need someone I can ask her. We usually give her about $200-300 for the four days because she'd use a lot of gas from our house to her job.

Steve, I might be up for a second trip in October...that's my birthday month and the weather is usually still pretty decent. I'd really like to stay in a hotel on the beach or something on the beach...any ideas?

Man, I stop reading Craig's List pet section because of all the irresponsible people giving up their dogs and breeding when there are plenty out there. It's too hard to read and not feel for those dogs and want to go off on the people. I wasn't prepared for someone in ARC to post a sale thread for Pit Bull pups. Out of all the animals...pit bulls. 80% of the dogs that end up in our shelter are pits or pit mixes. Go down there...go see for yourself. If you do, keep in mind as you look at every one of those sweet faces that they WILL be killed in the next day or so. Every other add on Craig's List is for a pit pull or a litter of pit puppies. So considering how many end up in shelters and are killed, it's obvious there are too many Pits out there and not enough responsible people to own this breed, yet people still continue to overbreed them. In addition, for every dog that is born, one is killed because it takes up that home that a homeless one could have had. I don't disapprove of breeding, but this breed is clearly overbred. People just moved onto my street and have three chained up to trees. I'm in the country so the Austin ordinances about chaining don't apply...one downfall about living out here, esp. for an animal lover. What a life these dogs have...to live at the end of a chain and be allowed to mingle with the others once in a while to produce a litter. It saddens me and I have to drive by them daily watching them just sit there with no attention. Unfortunately, this is how many people treat Pits and dogs in general. I have all eight of my dogs INSIDE, where they belong. One thing I do commend you on is how happy yours look and how well you've socialized them to make them comfortable with strangers. Good job with that, but please, please, rethink breeding again. These are wonderful dogs, as you know.

Jason will need some nudging on bringing Phoebe. He likes to get away from the dogs...I miss them LOL. Oh...I got her a haircut Tuesday...almost shaved except her fluffy tail. She was lacking a bit of confidence afterwards, but she's getting use to it. She looks like a different dog. Have a sitter already.

Jason and I will be going...have to line up a sitter for the dogs...that's one of the most expensive parts of our trips...dang house/dog sitter

Looks like a torch to me...just not really long polyps. Elegance corals are hard to keep...and don't grow with stems like that...every Elegancy I've had (and killed), grows more like a fox coral...or a "wall" hammer coral.

OUCH! I frequenly get shocked hitting the light fixture when my arm is in the tank. I think the section of my arm hitting is wet also. It's happened with every light I have on my tanks. Recently I even touched the metal thingy holding my light, to move it, and had a little water on my finger...zap. Of course the first time it happened, it happend over and over again before I realized what the heck it was. I thought "okay, that's not just from the heat of the fixture".

Cool...unfortunately my clam died...too much switching between tanks This leaves a nice open spot for the new Lobo though. I really loved that clam...my large tang had a very nice feast this evening. That fish will eat ANYTHING!

I got a new to me skimmer this weekend I'm selling my Coralife 220 Skimmer. It's used for a couple years and recently stopped making bubbles. It either needs a new propeller or a new pump. I'm thinking it's the propeller because the pump still sucks water in. It's a couple years old so it's got a lot of calcified stuff attached to the inside, as well as some coraline algae that I can't get clean. $50....can bring to the meeting.

Here are some photos of my Solana that I just PM'd you about. I don't have any full shots of the one I mentioned, just the tank shot. The full shot is of my other one...has the same kind of stand and similar light "holder", just a metal halide pendant and no door on the stand. BTW, if the door is an issue then I can see how much difference in size the two stands are and the door on my other one may fit.

I may be interested in the smaller pump. I've got a 300, but it's a little noisy...need to check with hubby tonight.
