  1. I just purchased a bonded pair. They came in Tuesday and look great. Started eating in Qt after 24 hours. They breed them. Here is where i got them. https://www.coralreeftn.com/
  2. Get them now or hire the shrimp hit squad later. They will spread. Its the 10 under the rocks you can t see that will cause problems. Aptasia-X will work if you get them down the throat. Best to scrape them off then rinse with vinegar.
  3. I have some. Its large pieces. Been soaking for months. http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/39634-live-cycled-marco-rock-250-lb/?tab=comments#comment-333170
  4. I still have some left .........Sale Sale Sale.... price reduced to $2.00 lb
  5. I think the Cal reactor is settled down. Reactor pH 7.1 . Cal output is 500 with a very fast drip. Tanks is around pH 8.1 and Cal at 450.
  6. C02 tank is up and running. A gorilla must have put those fitting on the old gauges. Running 1 bubble a second with a fast steady drip. I have 1 question. My solenoid seems to be really hot. Not burn to the touch but very hot. Is this normal? That Zeomag sure raises the ph.
  7. Tank update. Grass is now being mowed every evening now. If he misses some the urchin can see in the dark so not a problem. I do have some red slime with bubbles growing on top of some rocks that are near the surface and very well lit. I wish it was coraline instead. I turned on the uv. Will do 12 hours on 12 off. Blowing it off while the uv is on. After 1 day seems to be less. The calcium reactor is full of media. Waiting for the neo mag stuff to come tomorrow. Got the C02 tank filled. My low pressure gauge is not working. Waiting for a new set to come. I also ordered some mag and cal additives to bring my levels up to snuff. Baked baking soda water got my alk up to a target level. A 10% water change a week is not keeping up with demand.
  8. Would they be ok 2 feet down, under a kessil 360? My alk is around 9. what is yours? How is the Tyree Undata Colony attached?
  9. I had one of those cabbage leathers knocked off a ledge by an urchin in the middle of the night. The next morning grabbed it with my hand and placed it back on the ledge. It had a bunch of slime released because it was not happy being upside down. My hand tingled for 2 days.
  10. So here is a link to someone who knows what the issue was. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/airborne-palytoxins.377932/page-3#post-4630698 post 41 and 43
  11. Oh and your froggy is doing fine. Just had a oyster phyto feast bath with his buddies
  12. So looks like I have something similar. New tank, so it may not be the same. Does not appear to be slimy. It is on the sand, where there is not much flow blowing directly on it. Also on the top of the rocks where it gets the most light. Grows on the sides of the tank but is easy to magnet clean off. I tried to move the sand manually and that helped a bit. Put a powerhead to blow on it. It did not grow as fast but did not go away. I got 2 gobys. A watchman and a sleeper. One has been hard a work sifting the sand and the sand is looking a lot better. I turned off the powerhead that blows on it, and will wait and see. I have no clean up crew in the tank. I hoping that some coraline will start growing on the rocks.
  13. I just hired 2 gobys. Im lazy and they work hard moving the sand around. Once the green gets on the rocks I will hire a lawnmower.
  14. Not political. Im just leary of any stories not backed up by real facts. Be it NBC, CBN or what ever. I would like to see the hospital report and some physical evidence of his tank livestock.I think I saw the story on slashdot last Friday.
  15. Hum xenia have diterpenes. Not sure which ones. So does coffee. Coffee diterpenes, cafestol and kahweol in particular. These molecules are composed of a diterpenic nucleus, heterocyclic furan, and a glycone chain. They are known for their anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties. Being a Fox news story, has me wondering about fact checking.
  16. I see 2 plugs with my name on them . Or is that just the light playing tricks on me.
  17. Looks like a store front to me. I dont see any 50% going out of business sale signs?
  18. Did a 50g water change yesterday with red sea pro salt. About 8 % of water volume. Ph has stablized today at 7.97 down from 8. Alk is at 8 and steady for 24 hours.
  19. Im sure you do. Selling off some rock so I can get that tub back to you.
  20. I have 14 pieces of Marco Rock for sale. Left over from my aquascaping. It was dry when I bought it. It has been in salt water for 6 weeks. I added live bacteria and some ammonia to start the cycle. The only critters that it has been exposed to are excess fresh hatched brine shrimp water and excess rotifer water, to keep the cycle going. I counted 13 pieces and they weight about 25 to 30lbs a piece. Yes they are large and you can chop, drill and mash them anyway you want. It is full of holes like pukani but a little heavier. No need to drill frag holes as it has tons. Tested for phosphate leaching and there was none. Im in Wimberley and dont have the best cell service. PM me or text is best four 15 two 44 1987
  21. I can help you place them "just in case" you don't have room in your main tank. nice
