  1. That looks awesome!!! I'm glad both of you didn't give up.......I can only imagine all the work, frustration and stress, but when all is done, you'll sit back an enjoy the finish project and feel such pride....THAT'S A GREAT FEELING. Now all of us here have to wait for pics of the finish setup. Can't wait!! Best of Luck, -Cindy-
  2. What made it crashed? if you don't mind asking.
  3. Hey Karen.....have you tried just plain flake fish food. At Horizon Aquatics......when Steve gets a new arrival that is not acustom to eat frozen prepared foods......he usually gets the most simple fish food there is "flakes". Later on they get enticed w/other foods. You might want to give it a try if you have some. Give it shot and if it doesn't then...well you know what to do -_- . Best of Luck, -Cindy-
  4. Did you ask if it was eating? and what was it? I learned somethings when fixing to purchase a fish......especially if they've been at the stores for a while, if anyone can feed it right in front of you. You can then assume that at least the fish is eating. Have you notice if it has processed (pooped) anything?
  5. Hey Karen, How is the Toby?.......Any luck w/ the feeding? You know, if you have some flake food, it might try it. A little pinch will be enough to see it will take it in. -Cindy-
  6. Well I thought it was 12 but I checked it and it's 9.5 mag. -Cindy-

  10. No never had one.....passed by them...and yeah... they are cute, even some of them have beautiful colors and patterns. I just couldn't keep one with the corals that I have there and alot of the inverts that I've kept for about 4 yrs. or so.
  11. Ooohhhh...Valentini---Saddled Toby. Cute little guy....good luck and I hope you enjoy (him or her).
  12. Confuse--- is it Toby or Goby? If it's goby then it is also referred too as a neon goby.
  13. We had kept coral banded shrimps before but not paired with any of its kind. Mainly on their own, I regret trusting a sunrise dottyback (by the way beautiful fish), but it just tore the shrimp limb to limb. I was infuriated with myself & the fish. IMO, be cautious. 14. Here's an interesting article to read upon. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-10/hcs3/index.php
  15. I thought about that but since the kids started school.......scheduling volleyball tournaments and honor society meetings/volunteering is starting to look a little hectic (and it's just the beginning of the year) so I hope I can attend the swap meeting. Hey James...changing the subject...I read about an acro you have your eye on.....is it one from the Aqua Farm? -Cindy-
  16. Sean, just let me know when so we can coordinate date & time.

    brine

In our experience with brine shrimp all it did was pollute the water, fish will eat it but they all seem to be hungry at all times. About 2 yrs. ago we switch to mysis, all the fish in the main tank seem very happy & healthy....they are so happy that they all eat dry seaweed. As for the seahorses....they eat both PC Mysis and regular mysis. They look big and healthy. One thing I started doing for the past 2 months......I rinse the mysis before I feed. I don't completely squeeze out all of the juices but they get a good rinsing before I feed.
  19. Believe me your BTA will get her feeding one way or another. I've seen clownfish, eventually placing food on their anemone---they build that relationship overtime. Besides the BTA will catch some of the mysis, and that will be sufficient.....good water flow, lighting and water quality is important as well. Don't pollute your tank, if BTA is doing fine, I wouldn't worry.
  20. I shoot almost everything, then sort out the decent ones out. You can imagine the waste of material, time and money........ I'm glad cameras were upgraded to digital. I never thought that once into the reef hobby I was going to get interested in macro photography---for a novice -Cindy-
