  1. Ohh, sorry I just read the follow up response (20g)-----never mind about the tang----scratch that.
  2. Try not to incorporate too many additives...... your tank is fairly new? How long has it been up and running? I think for now.... if you have a tang or have enough fish load in your tank, you don't need to feed your corals. Fish poop will feed the corals itself, if there's something in particular that needs to be fed daily, try target feeding w/ a pipette or tubing of some sort. Also shutdown the circulation until the coral/corals get their feeding. Then turn everything on and the skimmer do its job. You should be getting some skimmate (dark as ice tea or darker and foamy).
  3. Sorry to hijack "again" another thread, but what brand of light bulb are you using?
  4. I would check your skimmer. What you have is DOC----Dissolved Organic Compounds. A good skimmer should do it or you'll be doing more frequent water changes. What size is your tank?
  5. That's a good thing you got the wrasse. I think eventually the wrasse will get to any pests. I've notice mine use to be diligent about checking the clams...... and for awhile we had those snails but they began to disappear. If the wrasse looks like picking on your other snails, it might just be clean house.
  6. They look like pyramillid snails. If you're not sure, IMO, I would not take any chances..... do you have clams in your tank and do you have any wrasse that will help eradicate these pests. http://www.reefland.com/rho/2006/05/identi...llid_snails.php
  7. Love the tank!! It's so full of color and I think you're right, a little too full. Your LPS should give you some room if they're moved somewhere else. I also have a gramma that turned out aggressive and now lives in my sump.....it's a shame. Would love to see what color you acans looks like. Maybe a trade/sale in the future. We just checked out Aquadome this weekend and I was in awe w/the large colonies of brilliant reds of acans. I get the feeling Hunter might try to fragging some of those colonies....that would be sweet
  8. Do you have anymore undata frags available?
  9. Welcome!! I have to ask..... are those really fried pickles and did you made them. If so, I heard they taste great, according to my kids.
  10. I believe princer7 was onto something. Try Briareum asbestinum: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...ficial%26sa%3DN Looks similar to what you have...... also, you might try this: Genus: Heliopora Common Species: Heliopora coerulea Common Names: blue coral, ridge coral, blue ridge coral
  11. Nice job on the stand. May I make a suggestion?.......We've done this ourselves.... try to see if you can fit your magfloat between the glass and rockwork. You want to make sure you've got ample of space between when it comes to cleaning the glass. Just a little tip. By the way, I like the cave you created on the right. -Cindy-
  12. Someone is selling their macro algae and magroves, you might want to check it out. Visit My Website What part of town do you live? Will you be attending the upcoming meeting this month? I'm fixing to thin out some dragons breath---if interested lmk.

    75 Gallon Tank

Sorry to highjack this thread.....but you live close by my place.
  14. AndrewT.... Great job on the tank and congrats on leopard wrasse. I think you did right by adding the 2 wrasses at the same time. I'm limited in adding any wrasses to my tank...my sixline wrasse will just harass any wrasse I place in the tank. But I wouldn't trade it.....it keeps my clams pest free. -Cindy- PS---By the way, the candycanes we traded.....they're turned really pretty and they're huge.
  15. Thanks. I was debating on whether to post this pic. or not. Serpent Starfish are kinda creepy, although I like the dragon scale-like pattern on the arms. Andrew, I love the little pods you capture w/the urchin. Phamily, If I could keep starfish in the main tank.....this would be a favorite. Love the spiny look and the color is so rich.
