  1. Manual removal, a blenny(though mine never touched it), phos absorber of some kind, increased water changes, avoid flake food, and check the age of your lamps. All will help. Is the rock old? I think some of my issue is related to old rock which has absorbed too much PO4 and is releasing it. If all else fails, borrow Mike's skimmer.
  2. Can I call you Tuggernuts and get a G5 airplane? I already have a kid and a pilot.
  3. In support of Mr. Callahan I give you: http://www.melevsreef.com/rinsing_sand.html I may be way off here, but maybe we have a future Melev growing in our own back yard.
  4. Don't forget DSA. One thing with the Elos, the price generally includes everything(tank/stand/sump/plumbing/skimmer) except lights so the overall total cost may be somewhat even. I think Kingfish can get them, if you go that route.
  5. Mad at JamesL; his old urchin ate some of my fav zoas!

Further research last night revealed many instances of this behavior, mostly from RC. Wish I had known that before hand.

  6. To Teresa and Jakedoza! Hope y'all have a great day!
  7. elosusa.com VERY nice tanks/setups. Pricey too, just like AGE.
  8. I think you need Elos. Or AGE. Just doin' my part! Sounds freaking awesome! Can't wait to see the build.
  9. funky stomatellas? I got to thinking today as I was leaving work; if one started a system with dead rock & sand, and only used corals from captive sources, would bristleworms arrive anyways?
  10. Where you at Clint? I can donate if you are in Austin, or anywhere really, but northside is more convenient.
  11. Ok Christian. I gotta ask. Are you just messing with us all? If so, knock it off. If not=sad.
  12. Where's our stuff Callahan? ;)

man yall give the new dad a break lol poor guy!!! little man is keeping him busy enough :)

  13. Here ya go! Now we just need someone with mad Photoshop skills to merge this one with a screen shot of Mark in spandex and we'd have the new mascot!
  14. You could always go the Paypal to hold, otherwise first come...
  15. I'm calling out all the people who joined in chat over the last 24hrs, were greeted, and then dissed us by not at least acknowledging the greeting and bailing out.
  16. Oh HELLSYES Mama! My tank seems to be loving it too, so I'm sold.
  17. Can you pull that rock out, or have you already? Did they dose meds to it? Run carbon and some type of phos absorbing material.
  18. yeah, don't add anything! give it some time. the algae fix probably knocked it over the edge. keep up with the WC and you should be back soon enough.
  19. I'd say do another water change asap, do not dose anything, run some carbon. Keep doing water changes until it remains clear, then do one every other day or so. Only do 5-10 gallons. Looks like a mini bacterial bloom or cycle. Missing any fish or large inverts? Add any new rock?
  20. Sounds like a light/new environment issue. Give him some time and he should go back to his old ways.
  21. I'd imagine he is eating pods and is still adjusting to the new 75. Is the 75 in a new location? How long has it been up? Any new fish that might be harassing it? Dunno on the fish/pep relationship but it sounds cool!
