  1. The ones I used slip into the square tubing, no welding required. I got them from granger.
  2. Looks good. The only thing I have to add is leveling feet for the stand would make your life easier.
  3. I merely suggested. You added the armored seams and phantom bottom on your own.
  4. Looks good. I second jolt. Use Union check valves as well.
  5. SOLD. Airplane bottle. $5. Worth every penny. Need video proof. Turn heater off 3 days prior
  6. I would have bought you something nice to see you throw said consultant into the freezing cold pool.
  7. Lights are flown. Didn't get the 8 - 10w bridgelux royal blue LEDs installed. For those observant reefers out there, yes only one MH is burning. The mysterious elves came and let the magic smoke out of the 400w ballast. Yes the lamp fires on the ballast that is working yes I switched to another socket on my pc4. It's the ballast. Good thing they have a 3 year warranty. Here are the braces that the light connects to in the attic. They are screwed into the joists to prevent slipping. Drilled a couple pin holes in the ceiling to run the cables through. Finished project
  8. Bpb, I have missed something please clarify. Lamps are a 400w and a 250w as stated on the packaging and that's what the ballasts are running at.
  9. Light bar is welded up. Lights will be getting flown today. 650w of mogul base radium metal halide glory and 144w of T5 to top it with 8 10w Royal blue LEDs.
  10. Just a heads up on the reeflink. I fought mine for a couple days on this. You have to open port 80 AND 8080. It initializes on port 80 and the load balancing falls it over to 8080. If you have problems call me. It's wonderful once you get it running.
  11. If Ty buys the big tank, then I'll throw in the DOS. Agreed. Let's get RSC going. Done on RSC. Sounds like the gauntlet has been thrown to Ty.
  12. And congrats on the tank. You will love it. Instead we need to change our elite reefer status to reef savvy club There are a couple others floating around austin and a know of one other for sure on the way.
  13. I say that if Ty wants to take off with Dos so he can do automatic water changes let him.
  14. One pic is all I feel like doing tonight. Hopefully I will start picking away at getting it running.
  15. It has!!!!!! And it is gorgeous!!!!!!!!! Pics to come later.
  16. Shipped last week, this isn't turning into the 440 drop off thread
  17. Yep saw that tank build on R2R. It ain't a 440 though....
  18. Actually I was thinking of coral skeletons. But you bring up another good example. Thank you. Your horrible at damage control.
  19. "Farmerty he will make you want to cry" Probably more appropriate. There is too many dead skeletons in your closet to run for prez.
  20. fingers crossed for you buddy.
  21. Hey hey hey. Gentlemen play nice. At least we're not art majors. ?
  22. JimH I just noticed you changed your thingy to unapologetic engineer = AWESOME.
  23. Thanks bud. I think I'll take engineers heaven as a compliment. One thing that I'm working on is a couple DIY upflow algae scrubbers. I don't really plan on or want to run the biopellets. But I have designed the sump to have a place for that equipment if I need it. Same with the GFO. That's why it's stand alone. So it can be removed or installed on a whim. This is why it was so important to me to get mocked up. So I can see/feel/touch the actual dimensions and actually pull equipment. I'm lazy like Ty so if it's hard to get equipment in and out I am likely not going to keep up with pump maintenance. My very hopeful plan is to use the skimmer and algae scrubbers as nutrient removal. This will leave the whole fuge area filled with rock as a cryptic zone. I am still going to rail mount my kessil A150 Amazon Suns over the fuge compartment to grow macro algae in the case that the 2 algae scrubbers can't keep up with nutrient removal. The drain lines will not have any filter sock holders or bubble traps. There will simply be a pipe that extends from the bulkhead under the water level to keep the full siphons and noise down. If I need to utilize socks for some reason I will use tie on socks as temporary items.
