  2. Oh sure now y'all like the sump. Before some dude kept harassing me about my egg crate mock up. Now who was that
  3. Thanks for all the compliments everyone. We should get to see water this week
  4. Never mind the electrical. Still working on that. Here is all anyone cares about. Pictures.
  5. And for the record the power strips are rated for 15 amps each and they are built out of high impact plastic and aluminum. They were bought at Home Depot.
  6. Yes. Dedicated circuit with 20 GFCI breaker. I didn't want to have to mess with a GFCI plug behind the tank.
  7. Good someone that I actually know that has a scientific mind to make a conclusion whether this works or not. I've been curious about micro scrubbing or scrubbing bubbles for a while now.
  8. That would be a blue striped tamarin wrasse, if you get one your ballin' outa control. DO IT!!!!!!!!
  9. Thanks to Sascha for helping me set the tank on the stand.
  10. 100 gallons?! What, do you have a water tanker that drives around for emergency tank house-calls? Not a bad idea really Oooooh, that would be nice. Maybe if I'm lucky I can find an efflo in LA when I'm cherry picking Nah just a 100 gallon cone bottom for my personal consumption, and I don't make house calls you would need to come get as much as you need.
  11. If you need made water I've got 100 gallons ready to go. 1.025 instant ocean.
  12. Yes everything looks fine. I would choose to run the uv on its own pump personally. Typical CARX flow is 15-45 ml/minute
  13. Thanks man. I really like it. I have the rustic hickory on the cabinets throughout my house. I figured why not have the tank skin match the rest of the house. Plus hickory is a good hard wood that won't be easily damaged or easily swell. I'm quite fond of it.
  14. So no pictures. BECAUSE TANK IS BROKEN DOWN FOR FINAL COATING. Everything is where it needs to be to be powder coated, painted and etc. final assembly will be starting very soon. The cabinet skins will be here 3-2-16. Here is a teaser of the cabinet skin sample. It is rustic hickory.
  15. To give you an idea I did use some 4x4 (I think was the size). I still have 15-24" left if you find that you need some.
  16. I like the startech the best. It comes in multiple sizes and takes paint well. It's what I used on my build. Here is a link to get you started. The 2x1 is almost too small to be useful though. They make bigger sizes. http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-2inx1in-Wiring-Cable-Raceway/dp/B00066HOPM
  17. The orb looks nice. What do I care I just want to oogle your stand it's almost a sin to cover it up.
  18. I have a couple hundred feet of John guest piping running through my attic. I can't comment on if the rats think it's tasty because to be honest I keep up with my rodent control religiously monthly. The benefits far out weigh the risks in my opinion. It's nice to not have to cart buckets. I Python outside because You can't run saltwater into a septic. I just did 25% water changes on my 2 40b quarantines in less then an hour. Olaggie if you would like to come check out what I did your more then welcome to.
  19. Sad thing is I'm not even aiming for cabinet grade anything! I just decided to build drawers to appease the wife. Other than that I was aiming for Ty's "Slap a board in front of it" approach Good thing I used a cabinet grade board to slap in front of it. [emoji12] I just don't have the heart to tell you the truth.......
  20. So your telling us that building a system that has a cabinet grade skin and drawers is a ton of work. I could have told you that
