  1. I've actually got a couple of those...may need some more.
  2. Thanks. Now I just have to figure out a way to keep the wires organized when sliding it in an out.
  3. One more project almost complete. This is an insert for the electronic side of the stand. I used a pull out cabinet organizer that I cut the sides off of . The one thing I didn't account for was the depth of the APEX unit. I'll just have to hang it on the inside... Only thing left is the paint.
  4. On my last tank I had it on for about 2 1/2 years with no issues.
  5. Manifold done and no leaks...and this time I remembered to use gate valves and not ball valve with the straight handles!
  6. Got the gyres set. Hoping it's not too much flow. The one thing I'm not too sure about with these is that 25% is the minimum you can set the flow. This is with just one blade on each gyre and set to go up and across the surface toward the front center of the tank.
  7. Slowly making progress. Salt was added on Saturday and sand on Sunday. Not gotta mess around with the gyres to try to stop the bare spots at the front.
  8. I'd begun filling the tank last week and discovered it settled a little more than I wanted so I drained it and got a friend to come out re-level it. Tank is full and starting to starting to flow into the overflow box!
  9. I had to take a break from unpacking boxes and play a little. Just got a pair of the IceCap 2k gyres. I removed one end and put the cap on. Going to see what kind of flow I get like this.
  10. Got the sump and tank moved to the stand today. I set the doors in front just to get a good look at it. I hadn't realized until I put the tank on the stand that the stand is 36" tall. I like that it brings the bottom of the tank up for better viewing. The stand on the 130g next to it is 33". I love the overall dimensions of everything! I was a little bummed when I found out they discontinued the shorter version but I now realize I really like the 16" height. Now for mid April to get here!!!!
  11. It's been a while since I started a new build thread so I figure I might as well get started! 🙂 I'm down sizing to a Waterbox Frag 105.4 tank that is 48" x 24" x 16". Planning to do all LPS and some softies. Other equipment: Lighting: a pair of Kessil A360x Powerheads: TBD...looking at the Octo Pulse 2 Return pump: Reef Octopus Varios 6 Skimmer: Reef Octopus Regal 150SSS UV: Pentair 25w I'll be moving mid April so won't make much more progress until then. Here's what I have so far...tank is still in the crate in the garage. Got the stand put together. I won't put the doors on until after I get moved. This thing is solid and heavy...figured I'd give the movers a break. Planning to mount all of the controllers / power bars in the left side. Lights arrived today... So...naturally I had to play with them. Mounted them on the old tank. This is at 60% intensity and about 13" above the water. It's a lot of light!
  12. Updated to include the sump with the tank since that's how the plumbing is laid out.

  14. Time to part it out and list everything in the hardware section.
  15. I like that the stand is wider than the tank.
  16. Last week for this deal. Next weekend I'll start parting it out.
  17. WOW...can't wait to see this come together!
  18. I need to move a few things as I prepare to shut down the tank before my move. The fish are all healthy. I assume the tank has ich but have never seen any signs of it on the fish. I'm hoping to coordinate moving the fish all on the same day so I can pull all of the rock out in order to catch them. Grandis Palys. There are 4 - 5 dozen heads. 20. I got my PA 130 through Jake. Great tanks.
  21. Used about 4 months before breaking the tank down. It's been stored in the original box for the last year and a half.
