    First thing Robin and I did was do the math. We figured it was cheaper to make our own water than buy it. As far as waste water, we first let it empty into the washer and use to wash cloths. With new washer I had to get another 55 gallon plastic drum and allow the wast water to collect there. I have a mag 5 in the barrel w/ a PVC contraption I built. I now just hook up the water hose and pump into the fornt yard/flower bed. Another reefer runs a line outside.

    yes, for a liitle while. If it makes you feel better you can run it through a filter sock.

    I have used it for about a year now. It will look a liitle dirty, possible gray. That seems to be tha nature of the salt. I mixed it for 72 hours and it never went away. I'm thinking its pot ash since it comes from Israel. I have had not ill effects. I love this salt.

    The wife will be gone so I can finish the tank projects. Re-wire and trace cables better to the controller and the dj switch, for a cleaner look. Will also be installing DIY calcium reactor. Along with the usual 40 gallon water change. Oh, if the acrylic repair kit comes in this weekend I'll add that to the list as well. Dave-

    Here is my set up I know we are way off topic but. . . Pump water from garage to 55 gallon barrel: Then mix salt and pump into fuge after removing 45 gallons: And my wife encourages it! God I love her!!!!
