Ahh, i never saw the article thanks for the link. I was curious about it since last time we were there they were in the water with them and the show was alot longer. We got to see both of the beluga and dolphin shows, they were great!
-
thanks for organizing the trip and the tour, we had a great time! i loved those corals they had in the back and the ray touch tank. anyone know what was going on with the shamu show - the trainers now getting in the water with them anymore?
-
can i switch my pickup location to the dome instead? maybe they'll have some more conchs.
-
what time do those stores close? i might wanna check our the domes livestock that day.
-
wow yours is pretty! mine doesn't have the crazy colour on it like yours does but i sure do love the sps shape with the soft fleshy lps look to it.
-
ive seen them wither away sometimes when they look like that, but other times ive shaded them more and made sure they didnt get too much flow, and they went back to looking normal with time. ive never tried to feed muschrooms but i dont see why it wouldnt eat if it was offered something tasty and wanted it.

it looks like an angry, bleached out hairy mushroom to me.
-
if you don't mind my asking, where will you be ordering yours from?
-
hmm, without knowing how knowledgeable that customer was i can't say what i really think about that situation definitively. I'm glad the seller was honest about the ric rock. rics aren't hard to care for so if the customer has basic knowledge and a set up that would house rics, i don't think there's anything wrong with making sure they know there's a chance they night not make it since they aren't looking so good, and discounting the rock. of course I'd make sure the reason for the discount and the status of the rics were noted in the receipt in case that customer tried to make the seller look bad, they could pull it up and prove the customer about it.

wish i was closer !

were there any lasting effects? i was stabbed by one of those silver tip sharks one time, it was awful, i never want to be stung again.
-
the black fin goby of course had to have a bunch of diff names, and it doesn't seem like they're nearly as common as the pink ones.
i just found the black fin shrimp gobys scientific name - cryptocentrus pavoniniods
-
I've moved mine around too and never been stung, thankfully. how bad was it when you got stung?
-
aqua dome, don't think that will happen, they're both about the same size, shouldn't get much bigger.
timfish, just am idea i had rolling around in my head. might just put a yellow one in one of the other tanks if i can find a nice enough one that's not super tiny.
teresa,is that a good thing, my post making you spend some money? lol!
-
how do you think a yellow get along with this pink goby i have and the black fin shrimp goby? i would love to have a yellow fish in there. i love the little clown gobies too,but they seem so tiny.
-
lol wow! how did you know he was in there, was some of your livestock disappearing?
-
-
lol, that sounds very irritating!! I've thought about trying to find a shrimp for these guys to pair up with, but I'm not too sure about putting pistol shrimp in there with my other shrimp.
-
awh that really sucks! I'd be very interested to see if you find any predators...
-
if he just moulted you prob won't see him at all for a few days.they're soft and vulnerable after they moult so they hide real good for a while until they harden back up. i have a little freak out every time mine moult, i love my shrimps!
-
ahh, that sucks. i have 2 clams on the sand right next to this ones cave. i haven't seen him dump sand on those, for some reason be seems to like those clams.
-
thanks :-) i haven't really seen too many of these in people's tanks and i always wonder why. they are pretty cheap, don't pester other fish, don't get picked on, don't bother anything else and they're entertaining. this one backs up into his cave like you would back your car up into the parking spot lol.
i have another goby t looks just like this one only with different colors, was sold as a black fin shrimp goby, also a beautiful hardy fish, but he's not as outgoing as this one. i often see my fire shrimp hanging out with that goby instead of in his own cave.

hmmm, i thought i attatched a pic?? i guess it didnt work! still cant get on the forum regularly, im using a proxy right now lets see if this one works:
heres one of his mounds, all that substrate hes sitting on is the sand he has sifted. he turns them into tidy little mounds near his cave entrance. (he also came up to the glass cause he thinks hes getting fed lol)
these are 2 new additions to the tank, my first squamosa and my first ever acans. i was told they were rainbow ultras?
-
Picked up this guy from phamily a while back, i think hes becoming a fave of mine. besides having some really pretty colors, he lets me take alot of cute photos of him, hes not shy at all. will come up to the turkey baster to grab food, and sifts sand around his little cave without dumping it on corals. great fish!
