    What I've found is that it's kind of pointless to rely on absolute dosing rates in terms of ml/day. You end up having to tweak your rates, so the absolute rate doesn't matter all that much.

    One thing to note, you want to make really sure that the connection between the rigid tubing and the poly tubing is air tight. If you start getting air in there (which may happen over time as your tubing loses flexibility), your dose rates are going to decrease over time. Otherwise, nice little mod! I did basically the same thing but with the weird metric tubing that comes with BM dosers and rigid clear PVC.

    Keep an eye on RC. You'll be pushing the high end of your range, but you can snag an apex and eb8 with ph probe in that range.

    My Miami Chalice FS (mother colony) Located in Oak Hill. 15+ eyes. These sell in the hobby market for $75/eye pretty regularly for 1-2 eye frags. Looking to get $40/eye for the whole colony for a total of $600. Do the math on that and you could make >$500 profit. I just need the cash and don't have time to cut and grow out.

    Just a reminder, change your default passwords and make it unique to this device. If you broadcast your IP, and use a similar password to your Apex, for example, best case scenario I get in there and make your tank strobe. Worst case someone with nefarious intentions messes up your tank. Not a likely scenario, for sure, but a little safety here could go a long way.

    The light sand will work its way up and blow around. You can use a large diameter hose to siphon out the hose and put it through a filter sock while pumping water from the bucket back to the tank. Of course after you've manually removed as much as is practical.
