  1. I'm not great at gift wrapping but I sure do have a lot of reefer gifts under my tree!! Merry Christmas ARC!
  2. really sorry, I got caught up with the BRS group buy that arrive earlier. Still scrambling in hopes I can get everything perfect before they hatch. Crosssing my fingers the dont go until tomorrow night since that looks like when I'll have everything perfect for them. I you catch them and need any rotifers or anything just pm me and I'll run out and meet you. I dont have a sponge filter on yet, getting it tomorrow and I should have a good setup ready. Thought I could do it all today but i wass wrong Chris
  3. If not one else is interested I'd love to give it a shot. I have a 10 gallon tanka nd a rotifer culture running right now. I dont know the first thing, would have to start research
  4. Great idea! I've been wanting my scuba certs for awhile. Perhaps instead of the next couple fishing trips on my boat I'll put the gas money to lessons! Now who's got the awesome pics?!

    Walnut Creek 426

Baby green fungia helmet. Taken with iphone4
  6. So what happens if we pick up live rock from the free section does that count against our budget if we can prove the rock and sand was free from someone breaking down a tank?
  7. awesome deal! I forgot to grab some zoe while I was there. I feed garlic and zoe soaked krill/mysis and a mix of Dr G's anti-parasitic food to my 75 gallon QT. As soon as my BRS order arrives I plan to take all coral/rock out and copper treat the QT to "sterilize" it again and reuse it while I build up this DT.
  8. Wish someone in town sold dry tonga, gonna have to get $150 worth from BRS... wish I could see it befor buying!

This one brian? http://spsholic.com/entry/MRkangTank I'm hoping to mimic it slightly with the rock design, I love that free floating cliff.

I'll be using zipties, epoxy and glue. Possibly I'll buy some acrylic rods and thread/bend them to secure certain areas.

  9. garlic and zoe are two great things to soak the food in while feeding.
  10. If you catch him ill take him into my qt system. I've got to study for finals still or I'd come catch.
  11. Alrighty I got my email. I've currently got an order getting built. I have Free Shipping and I'm located in North Austin. If your picking up GFO or wanting to join in to get Free Shipping please PM me. I will place my order this Friday.
  12. If anyone still wants to be added to the list please send me a PM or post a reply here.
  13. I dug throw the thread and found another member looking to split. That would be 1 of 4. Long mentioned he might pick up a second if it was available but has not confirmed, potentially 2/4 taken. I'd be willing to pick up a little bit more gfo if needed, prefer to just find people/person who wants the other 2 though. They should be ~$36 and I will know for sure once the groupbuy opens tomorrow.
  14. so far I have 8 orders of 1.75 LB High capacity GFO. The way BRS sells them we need to buy 7 LB which splits 1.75 Lb to 4 people. currently I'll be getting 2 of the bulk orders to split. The next bulk size is 35 LB and would be (20) 1.75 Lb orders. The price break isnt enough to be substantial. So it looks like we will have all the GFO accounted for. If we get more people needing some we will either need to find additional buyers for the extra or find individuals who do not want their full amount. 1 bulk order = 4 1.75LB orders 2 bulk = 8 orders 3 bulk = 12 orders Currently at 8 orders
  15. Congrats to belinda for winning the 2.5 specc raffle from RCA!

  16. Just sent out PM's to the people I have on the GFO list. If you did not get a PM please pm me and I'll get you in the loop. We are looking at ~$36 per 1.75 LB of high capacity GFO. Chris

    Octopus

http://www.thecephalopodpage.org/rearing.php according to that site, if collected within the past 3-4 months she could have fertile eggs. Might also eat the infertile eggs, either way near the end of her life cycle.

    Octopus

can you possibly remove them so she can no longer protect and might eat? Also I thought some octopus males would break off their special arm and give it to the female who will store it until she is laying eggs. At that time she pulls it out and fertilizes the eggs.

    Octopus

Wish I could get a few to try and raise! Thats Awesome!!!
  20. Nope I'm just at class and taps talk doesn't work right on this forum after it updated due to short URL. Ill pm you later and get you covered.
  21. So are we defining this as <6 or <5? because from the other thread I thought it was 5 gallons and under. meaning something like the ecopico listed at 5.1 is not suppose to go in. If they list it as 5 gallons and it truly holds more is a different situation.
  22. Response from BRS: If anyone still wants to be added to the list please send me a PM or post a reply here.
