No your gonna make a vacuum if it is sealed

Gravity fed are great just don't add kalk or other powders without a power head constantly stirring. It will end up clogging the line and float

Take your hydrometer and give it a vinegar bath then go to a lfs and get them to check sg with their refract. Mark yours based on theirs and use it. Just make sure to fresh water wash after each use.

hola, I've been using a similarly sized tank, and if i can make a humble recommendation, get your tank drilled and add a sump if it's at all possible, it will really open up the possibilities in terms of equipment.

Thanks, I will be painting it all black. I sanded the front lip off last night as well as brought all edges flush. I will end up sanding the last parts today and then start painting it. I still need to decide on my plumbing so I can cut any holes needed in the back wall before painting.

I think online you can find reruns of the NOAA stream from the recent expedition. They are also asking for crowdsource style of identifying since SO much was covered on the journey. It will give you a tutorial on how to Id stuff, and then you get to go through pics and ID the creatures and environment. Others will see the same pics and also ID them to get a general consensus of what is there. I REALLY enjoyed the NOAA stream, kept me up till about 3-4 am each night watching recordings from the day.

Added the bottom interior floor and top today. Also cut a shelf for inside. I forgot to turn the ac down this morning when I got coffee so now I'm letting the shop cool off before starting to sand everything flush to begin painting.
