  1. I dont think bristle worms are harmfull to corals. I believe they are just a benificial scavenger. If that anenome looking guy in the second pic moves from zoa colony to colony I would remove it. I tried to focus in on the 1st pic , it appears to me there could be a nudi pokin out from behind a polyp but i'm not positive. Inspect all of your zoos closely as the nudis take on the color of whatever zoo they are munchin on.You may want to try a dip for the pox and see if any harmful creatures fall off. If you have nudis they are easily handled by a wrasse.
  2. what chris said, ha ha. I also marked my sump so I can make sure its the same every time
  3. My canopy goes all the way to the cieling so you cant see the plumbing. I felt pretty sneaky when I first used it (and it worked). I will continue to keep that feeling so long as the pipe doesnt burst and flood my attic with a 40 gal water change
  4. I plumbed a drain line to my return manifold up thru the attic and back down into the laundry closet where it goes down the washing machine drain with a turn of a knob.
  5. I use what is in the 2nd and third pics in the link. Its a reef fanatic level controller that turns on and off a solenoid. has worked flawlessly for years. You can set it so that the water barrel has to completely enpty before it will turn the ro unit back on. Ro units have high tds when you 1st click em on due to tds creep. So its better to cycle them once to fill the barrel completely as opposed to keeping it topped up constantly. If you have a tds meter you will see the high tds when you 1st turn on the ro unit. http://www.thefilterguys.biz/top-off_controller.htm

  18. I'm not sure to be honest.I would guess about a month. Time to let any eggs hatch that passed thru the dipping process and even more time for observation is needed before you can truely deem something pest free.
  19. dipping is good and all but if you are not quaranteening afterwards you might as well not bother dipping as the only nasties I can think of that there isnt a in tank solution for lay eggs that are not affected by dipping.(monti eating nudis/acro eating flatworms).
  20. good job mark, keep em coming
