    Tons of zoas

Can I see them in person and browse or do I have to decide from the picture?
  3. It is 48” long? Do you have the mounting feet?
  4. Do you still have this skimmer for sale?
  5. Are we allowed to nominate someone elses picture? If so, how about Patrick's pic from the first post in this thread http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/23559-new-ipad-with-camera/
  6. This thread really helped me. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1973462 it has pictures of where to put your multimeter to test for shorts on each LED. kcress does a really good job of explaning how to do it.
  7. You should check out the mixing station that funky reefer did in his build thread. http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/19879-richards-225-g-build/ post #22 has some good labeled pictures.
  8. I am interested in the skimmer. I'll send you a PM.

    BRS order

I already placed the order for me and afgun, but I could probably find something else I need if we can get 8 other people.

    BRS order

I have $328 worth of stuff in my cart right now. Let me know what to do and I'll wait.
  11. So after some research I realized that I can't afford to outfit a 135gal tank for corals. So I bought a 40br from Laura here on ARC. I'm going to sell the 135 to pay for lights for the 40. Laura gave me some live rock rubble and sand with the tank. I moved it into a 10 gal tank for now while I clean up the 40 so I can drill some holes for an overflow. I'm probably going to look for a 20Long to use as a sump. Here is the 40br ready for me to get a drill bit. Here is the live sand and rubble I got from Laura.

    BRS order

I was going to place an order today. How do you work a group buy?
  13. There is a 75g listed today on craigslist. It's pretty expensive, but maybe you can talk him down.
  14. I bought a 55 gal tank from crendon2003 from here at ARC. I'm probably going to use it as a sump/refugium. I got a powerhead from him as well. I put the powerhead in the tank to test it along with a heater and another powerhead that came with the main tank. No signs of leaking from the tank. The kids were playing in the water and got hand prints all over the front. I put the 55 out on the deck to wash out some of the salt.
  15. I filled the tank with tap water to see if it has any leaks. So far so good.
  16. There is a 3 ply glass brace with some water stains under the laminated pieces. I removed the top 2 pieces to try and clean them up. And found a crack in the main brace. I couldn't get the stains off either. Kind of frustating. I will put the pieces back.
  17. Well I've been hunting the internet and found a 135 gal glass aquarium with a stand for $220. The kids and I drove to Elgin to pick it up tonight after work. I like doing wood work so I plan to build a new stand for it. I still haven't decided where it's going to be placed in the house yet.
  18. I've had a 10 gal tank in my office for about 4 years now. It was on the kitchen counter for about a year before that. It has two fan-tail goldfish and a pleco. I just recently upgraded them to a 29 gal tank. That made me think that I should set up a tank at home again. Years ago, before I had kids. I had a 155 bowfront FOWLR setup. But we moved and it sat in the garage for several years until I sold it. At the new house I did a small tank 30 gal FOWLR built in to the wall in the den downstairs. But that stayed in the house when we moved to Texas. So now I've got the itch to do a new setup. I want to try to keep some corals this time. I'm going to start researching what I want.
