got it working, but i think i may have just been a tank hypochondriac. as my new coralvue dim-able ballast looks just like my old oddysea electronic ballast.

I assume i just hook the same colored wires together? green with green, white with white, and black with black?

i just got my new ballast in and its not like my old one (it as wires instead of a plug) there is a white a black and a green wire. how do i hook this up to my fixture?

Thanks, But keep in mind that you will have to feed that often, an feeding them is one of the major issues with this species. Aquadome has one of these in one of their tanks (at least 4 months now) that is eating frozen cyclopzes Also keep this in mind: "Pipefish will be harmed by anemones and corals with stinging tentacles or corals that are large enough to consume them, such as brain corals. They can also be harmed by invertebrates such as crabs and large shrimp."

That is correct, but the main reason for their tank requirement is due to their feeding needs (same with a mandarin) if you can feed it in a smaller tank (brooks is 15 gal) then i dont see why a pair would not work. The best place to go for these questions is seahorse.org as they will be able to give you better advice than i can.

Yea limestone can contain alot of phosphate and heavy metals, depending on where it is from

we need at least 10 people to do a group order, right now we are at 2, so it looks like we may just do a mini-gb by combining orders and shipping to one house. i believe anyone who has participated in a gb is a premium member, so we should still get fairly good prices. although i dont think that what i am getting gets a discount.

i think the big issue with this is time, and all of the legal issues involved (book keeping ect). but if someone has this time to set this up i think it would be great.

well my sps are not growing very rapidly (im using my monti cap as an indicator)
