      well the seller should have called but cash is king. If you wanted to hold an item might want to send a paypal payment to hold the items. Not saying what was done is cool but I know on a few things I have passed up an offer waiting for somone that never showed.

      I am glad I went to led lights over the 2- 500watt mh's I had the house and tank stay WAY cooler. If I did it again I would buy them and not DIY. And I am a DIY kind of guy.

    Ever since I've seen the sting ray for sale at RCA, can't get it off my mind. Would be really cool to have 1. I love the way the feel. Still remember the smoothness from Georgia Aquarium.

    Bought a LTA at the dome on Saturday...it looks healthy, but not wanting to attach. I build a fort of rocks around it to keep it from turning over, and turned off my power heads....Do they like rocks or sand? any advice?

      My LTA refuses to be in the sand even if I clear down to the glass bottom and build a wall around him. he insits on being at mid level in the rocks ;)

    AC is out, aquariums are almost at 90 degrees (except the one with chiller - thx God for chillers!). I've turned out the lights, adding aeration, I don't have any clip on fans - anything else I can do to cool them down?

      if you use ice please make sure to leav it on a sealed bag. I am sure everyone knows this but it would suck to kill your tank trying to save it

    440v is not fun to play with. I am glad to be alive and no major damage. But I never want to meet him again.

      Not really a good story other than not getting hurt.

      I had one palm on the control box of a machine and leaned over to pick up a tool and when my other palm touched a metal rack it was aparent that the ground cable to the machine had failed and I became the ground. It caused me to convolse and that pulled my hands away braking the connection. Both arms and my sholders feel like I did a 30 day workout in about 10 min. Im not sure how much of a charge I got becuase the cable was st...

    Does anyone know if you can still drill the side of a tank if the bottom is tempered???? Also is it safe to remove the plastic ring from a 40gal breeder tank??? Thanks in advance!!

      there is a way to check with sunglasses and a monitor if its tempered. I dont have the link handy but there is a youtube vid of it.

    3 weeks ago I saw a single aiptasia polyp poking its head out of apiece of rock. I immediately went after it with a syringe of vinegar. I wasn't sure if I got it, but I haven't seen it since. When would it be safe to assume its dead?

    Trying to decide if i should add a coriline algae booster... would be the first additive in my tank ever???

      from most of my readings those boosters are snake oil anyways. Just get some somone to scrape some off there walls and use it to seed your tank or buy them a new cleaning magnet and get the one in there tank that is covered in it.

    Does anybody have a fish trap that i could borrow for a stubborn fish ? Help out a friend :)

      just go to youtube and search for a fish trap make one out of a small water bottle or 2ltr bottle depending on fish size. They work awsome. leave it in tank a few days without feeding the tank then put food in it. And hope he is the first one in :)
