Added some pics of the colonies and the frag of Horn coral. Check the first post. The horn maybe 2" the frag plug its mounted on is pretty long. This pic was taken about 3 weeks ago.

I have a colony of German blue digi(4x3") mounted to a 5" piece of live rock. That same piece of live rock has a small colony of birdsnest(3x3") on it. Selling it for $20. I also have a huge colony of sunset monti that I want to frag. It will be 2x2" frags cut upon request for $20. There is also a 1.5" frag of neon green horn coral for only $10. All of the corals are super healthy with great coloration. I had the June meeting at my house yesterday, so if you need confirmation ask any member who attended. This is a good question Matt.... I too have wondered the difference It varies from tank to tank. It also depends on lighting and water parameters. I bought a green bubble tip from an ARC member and at his house the tentacles look like small balloons. He was also using T-5's. I put it in my tank and the tentacles became long. I use metal halides and my current was stronger than the other tank. I have been to quite a few ARC members houses and some of there rose BTA's are baloonish and othes aren't. Even though they may have come from the same family of anemones. Whoever has a rose BTA with the balloon tips may have to chime in and let us know how there setup is.

No problems at all. I run mine between 78-80.

I was messing around with the camera trying to see which adjustments work the best for tank photos . So here are a few point and shoot pics.

Did you give him up because of the the sand bed extinction.

You could use a 48" fixture but it will depend on how tall the tank is and how the rock is stacked. You would also have to use a hanging kit. Adjust the height of the fixture until its to your as well as the corals liking. (trial and error) You could also go with a retro fit kit. I have seen some great custom fixtures on ARC. I'm pretty sure some one will have a good amount of info for you.

Sorry about the losses Will. I dont think you should dose in a tank that size.(Too risky) I think you should wait and see what happens to the firefish.The water parameters and incompatibility are a couple of reasons for fluke. Monitor the water parameters at different times of the day and the fishes behavior and color closely.(especially around the gills) Watch before and after feedings to see if his eating habits change. I know fire fish are territorial so see if he has a tendency to roam around the tank or stay hidden most of the time. Its your fish so you would know better than me. Since you go to school full time you may not have much time to stare at your fish but I think you be able to tell if something is wrong. Some people love dosing different chemicals but I cant do it. I watch my tank more than i watch my Plasma's and can notice if something is wrong in a heartbeat. I then try to fix it in a hurry. I have only lost one fish and that was due to my stupidity. (incompatibility)

Thats pretty cool. i still think it will miss some spots. If its $50 buck i may consider it. I have a feeling it will be $179.
