I had heard that you should only use Acrylic tanks with them since they can crack the glass ones. Pretty cool creature though.

Placed mine on Friday.

I have the JBJ 28G HQI. Yes it runs hot. I replaced the feeding cover with a dual fan until attached by velcro. I also have an ATO so I don't have to worry about evaporation. The ATO is attached to a 2.5G plastic gas can inside the stand that I refill every 3-4 days. As for the lighting....I added 2 - 18watt Actinic PC lights inside the canopy that I purchased from nanotuners.com overall I have enjoyed this tank and think it's a greating starter tank. Now I am at the point where I want to upgrade to something in the 75-90g range. Best of luck whatever you decide.

I am probably in as well. Need to remove some of my larger crabs and replace with a bunch of small snails.

I actually like your aquascape, only thing I would recommend is that you keep space between the rocks and the glass to make it easy get your glass cleaner between them. Otherwise, looking good.

Thanks, just not sure it's worth it to add to the setup if there's not much noticeable difference. Just trying to optimize the skimming/nutrient export.

Noone?

Let me know if you find any. I have wanting to get a replacement ever since my Electric Blue Hermit ate the one I had.

Is anyone here using an Ozone generator with their Skimmer? I read a couple interesting articles on wetwebmedia and wanted to hear more from people actually using this technology.
Thanks,

It has that $@%@% impossible-to-duplicate knockdown texture on it
When I was shopping for a house every one of them had this. I don't get why it's so popular. I have some nicks in the wall from when the previous owner moved out. Not sure how I will repair that.

Sunday afternoon should be fine. I also live in River Ridge, over on South Ridge Circle.

No pickup or suv here, perhaps we can work something out though.

This would be great for my garage. I just don't have a vehicle large enough to transport it.

I could help on Sunday if it's after 1pm.

I think someone recent suggested putting Mussels in the refugium.

The rock that I wanted to remove the Xenia from has Eagle Eye Zoas growing on it. I was making more space for them.

My subscription to Coral Magazine is coming to an end, and before I renew it I thought I would check out what other people are reading. So let me know what reef keeping magazine you recommend/subscribe to.
Thanks

Update: I was able to peel it off the rock in nice big chunks just using my finger nail. Thanks again.

Would love to help since I am in G-Town but Sundays mornings are booked for me.

I was looking at your old ATS setup and I saw that you had the light shining down in the 5gal bucket. Did you have any performance problems with it? Did you angle the sheets inside the bucket to get as much light on them as possible? I am designing my sump and I have a section in it for the ATS but I'm not sure how I will arrange the lights if I have the scrubber vertical. I will be posting a 3D drawing of it in the next couple of days to get some comments.

Charles

This is great. On my next tank I am probably going to incorporate an ATS into the sump design. Do you feel that you still need your refugium? Or would you consider going with a smaller refugium now that you probably don't grow macroalgae in it? or do you?
