Nathan Explosion
I know this is kindof a weird ? but....... So my job requires that my hands get covered in oil, to dirt, mud, grease and so on. So anytime I have to reach into my tank to clean it I have to be dang sure none of that stuff is on my hands. What would be the best way to clean the hands and so on? Right know I just wash them with dishsoap and rinse (forever) to make sure my hands are clean of any soap. How do some of you prep for putting your hands in the tank? +dapettit
Gloves are good. I wash my hands with soap and rinse. I dry then rinse with RO/DI water.
+ACampbell
I have one of the long tong things from the fish store. I can pretty much do anything with that and my hand never goes in the water.
Rjohn
I have a gripper thing as well but it won't grip tightly enough to get things out of the water so I usually put on a latex glove to grab things just below the surface of the water. I have seen long to the shoulder gloves on some of the sites but I never ran into anyone that admitted to using them.
+dapettit
I also have several forceps rangeing from 10" to 24" that I use as well.

I just wash my hands well with soap and dry them well.
mFrame
So what type of gloves? I assume that standard latex gloves would be too "powdery".

I have problems with eczema that the saltwater aggravates. So the gloves are a must. These are what I use: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...cfm?pcatid=3871
caferacermike
I get those same gloves in a heavy nitrile, not thin like surgery gloves but very thick like dish washing gloves for the same price locally at Granger.
