jestep Posted July 19, 2016 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Via aqua titanium are really good ones with an external controller and cheaper than most other Ti heaters. Hydor inline heaters are really good as well if you have a sump and the appropriate size tank and return tubing. I've literally been using one on my FW tank for more than 8 years and it is still accurate and works flawlessly. I wouldn't use a cheap one unless it's running off a controller or other backup thermostat. This is a good idea no matter the heater, but wouldn't even chance it with a cheap one. Reburn Posted July 20, 2016 Share Posted July 20, 2016 I use the finnex heaters with the digital control and some of the new ones with the heater cage. Very happy with all of ten finnex heaters. I have some ehiem heaters in service too. Very happy with those if you can give up the space. I wasn't happy with my cobalt neotherm heaters.
