+Jimbo662
If I'm going to have a 1/2" return and 3/4" drain would I drill 3/4" and 1' holes?
jestep
For normal sch40 or ABS bulkheads, 35mm is the standard size for 3/4, and 30mm for 1/2.

jestep
Np. Also, assuming you have normal bulkheads, but the thick SCH80 bulkheads require larger holes, I think 42mm is for 3/4 on the SCH80's.
+Jimbo662
I'll be buying the ABS bulkheads from BRS.
FarmerTy
Those SCH80 bulkheads are super solid compared to the SCH40. The SCH40 ones work just fine but if you are a fan of being over-engineered, those SCH80 are awesome and makes the SCH40 seem like cheap plastic comparatively. +Jimbo662
I don't think I'll need to go that over-engineered on this project.
Neon Reefer
I would not buy the bits until I have the bulkheads as the same 3'4 inch bulkhead in different brands can require different size holes. Even for the same schedule pipe I am sure Bulk reef can direct you to the right size bits for the bulkhead you buy.
FarmerTy
Remember, we have a set of bits for Premium members of ARC to borrow. It has assorted sizes so I'm sure you'll find one that works for you.

+BobcatReefer
I'll be buying the ABS bulkheads from BRS. Just a heads up for future purchases - all BRS bulkhead pages have the size of the bit for each bulkhead at the bottom. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/bulkhead-abs-slip-x-thread-slip-on-the-flange-head-side-1-d880e783834172e5ebd1868d84463d93.html
